Interesting clouds .....

7th April 2022 (Thursday)      06.30 .... I’m in a cavorting kind of mood this


morning; welllll ....my heid is cavorting mood, but my knee bones aren’t capable of a decent cavort.    I’ll settle for a run out on the bike later in the morrrrrrrrning.    It’s a nice morning, but there has been some rain overnight.... probably showers.... and light rain showers are mentioned in the forecast.   Light rain showers? ....oops... I have a washing going through the machine.  

09.00    I’ve been for the paper... and down to the harbour so I am definitely getting back to my ‘normal’.    The above mentioned washing is now dangling in front of the radiators;  it might be hung outside when the sunny spells arrive....though that doesn’t look like ‘appening for a wee while.  The bike won’t be out until the afternoon. 

12.00    I have been packing my bag(s) for my ‘oliday up at Auchnagatt with Jackie and Iain.   Oh... and I won’t be going anywhere on the bike; it’s bitterly cold out: Although the sky is showing signs of brightening up, it’s not a day the beach.    I’ll have an afternoon of packing and drawing;  and drinking numerous cuppas.


21.00    Iain arrived at 18.45; we’ve had food and a blether..... now I need to finish packing the case, then dismantle the laptop and pack it into its bag.   I’ve had a busy day drawing;  it was far too cold to go out on the bike.  The weather forecast is good for the Vintage Tractor run on Saturday, but the organisers have had to change the ‘plan:  Aberdeen are playing at home, against Ross County, so the original plan to go to Aberdeen has  been cancelled.   The tractors are now travelling from Ellon to Balmedie.

The washing eventually did get hung out and it dried.   I brought it in just before a shower o’ rain late in the afternoon, and it has been ironed.

I’d better go and make a cuppa before bedtime;  I think we’re having a fairly early start tomorrow.

Pittenweem swimming pool....

20th September 2017 (Wednesday) ... 13.30    When I went along to Elie for the papers this morning, I got slightly diverted and ended up along at the old Pittenweem tidal swimming pool.  Pittenweem  swimming pool.    Unfortunately we have a, mostly overcast, with occasional spits and spots of rain, morning.     I must go back on a ‘bright and  sunny’ morning... this will show up the different colours of the sandstone rocks etc better.    It is an interesting spot, and would have been busy in the 1930’s , 40’s and 50’s.        20.30     My day has been spent pottering around Ivy... including baking a batch of wholemeal scones.    Note to self .... I must remember to freeze some of them this time;  rather than feed them to Blob and his pals.     It has been a grey and sometimes damp day;  not a day for bumbling about outside.    The ‘cold’ that I had last night didn’t come to anything.... Cold and overcast ....

18th April 2024 (Thursday)    08.00 .... The Fife Weather cams are all showing an overcast sky:  rain hasn't reached Fife so far, but is expected to arrive by mid morrrrrrrning...."light rain and a fresh Westerly breeze" being the forecast until later in the afternoon;  but we're going to end the day with a bonnie evening.  Hmmmmm .... I don't think I'll be painting any bits of the shed today; and that was my project to take my mind off the car.   Computer stuff it will have to be:  I'm actually in a writing mood so this might not be a wasted day. 09.00   Forget the heap oops... car (it's in the 'bad car' corner);  I'm excited because the workmen are here to begin work on the patio. They arrived a wee while ago;  unfortunately spits and spots o' rain arrived at the same time and, if  the rain is heavy and prolonged they won't be able to do much.   Showers are OK but not prolonged rain.  Must 'go' got to have another cuppa

Quiet morning ....

 5th October 2023 (Thursday)     09.30.... The crock pot has been fired up with a batch o’ Scotch Broth, George’s bucket has been put out for tomorrow morning....I have had breakfast, and now on my third cuppa of the morning; hoping for a stress free day.   The past two days were not stress free. Yesterday began really well.... I got the car insurance sorted, and was   settling down to check FB.    I saw a photograph captioned ‘Seal on a floe .... or was it?’   Being inquisitive I ‘clicked’ on it;   and that   was it .... flashing warnings all over the computer screen.     I’d been hacked.   A small window appeared purporting to be from Microsoft Security so I clicked on that and got an 0800 number to phone;    which I did and was answered by an Indian.     That’s when I should have pulled the plug on the computer.    However, h e as very   plausible so I began to follow his instructions for a few minutes... then  began to get suspicious;   especially when he began to insist that I
