Quiet morning ....

22nd August 2022 (Monday)    07.30 .... the day has started quietly with a

light breeze off the North Sea;   this has brought in a bank of cloud so we are waiting for the sun do burn the cloud back to give us sunny spells.... though it might be mid morning before that happens.   Unfortunately the weather forecast is for us to have light rain with a gentle breeze in the afternoon.

13.45    Michael and Janice decided to go to Cupar to browse the shops, so I tagged along.   On the way up we ran into steady, but light, rain and so it was in Cupar:  not heavy enough to get soaked but annoying when trying to take a few photos.   Janice didn’t find anything to buy in the shops, in fact she wasn’t that impressed with Cupar.   Right enough Cupar on a wet day ain’t pretty.  The only shops that we  bought stuff in were Fisher and Donaldson’s;  we hoped to sit in and have a cuppa but Staff shortages meant the Cafe bit was closed.   This was the ‘in town shop’ not the ‘Factory’;  we could see that the 'Factory Cafe'  was open when we passed by on the way home via Ceres.

20.30    The ‘Troops’ walked to Lower Largo in the afternoon;  I had a catnap, then made Macaroni Cheese for dinner.... and timed it perfectly as everything was ready to scoff 20 minutes after they arrived back at Ivy.  On the way to Lower Largo they walked through Dumbarnie Golf Course;  I must bike across there when it is quieter.

Michael washed the windows with the ‘new toy’ that he bought me the other day;  since having a virus I have dizzy turns now and again.... not handy when climbing steps ladders.   Anyway I’ll now be able to wash the windows on a regular basis.   Janice told me that she has one of those extending arm things for the windows at home in Sussex;  and it’s never been out of the packet!

It hasn’t been the bonniest o’ days,.... though it did brighten up for a wee while in the early evening.    It looks like we are in for a spell o’ rain now.   Tomorrow should be brighter, but it is forecast to be cloudy in the morning.    It’s Janice’s birthday (tomorrow);  Michael will have something planned for

her.... but I don’t know what’s happening.
