Sunny witha cool breeze....

16th July 2022 (Saturday)      07.00 .... the morning  started with  a ‘wall to


wall’ blue sky with a chilly breeze... a bonnie beginning to what looks like being another bonnie day;  however there’s a chance of showers later in the afternoon... which should mean interesting clouds. 

  21.00    Although cloudy now the clouds didn’t come over until late in the afternoon, so we have had another bonnie day: too warm for me in the afternoon.    I have been tidying out the Hutte, in between watching the golf and the cycling.   A lot of time was spent outside in the Hutte so I have has some exercise;  I haven’t been to the beach.... in fact I haven’t been further that the car, and that was to see if I’d left a camera in the boot.   I had.

Both the golf, and cycling made exciting viewing.... especially the finish of the cycling.     When watching the golf I keep a lookout for any locals on the course, either as spectators or working;  so far I haven’t recognised anyone.   Mind you, there are a lot of people all around the course.... and the camera doesn’t linger long on crowd shots.


22.00   The ‘plan’ for tomorrow will be the same as today’s;  tidy up The Hutte and watch the golf and cycling.    There’s ‘chance of precipitation’ first thing in the morning;  the time when I might have daunder to the beach.   It’s going to be cloudier tomorrow but warm;  Monday and Tuesday are to be the ‘hot’ days.

With this being ‘The Open’ weekend I expected the villages to be busier;  I think this could also be a ‘change over’ weekend.   I’ll take a turn round the villages, to see that all is as it should be, when I go for the paper tomorrow.

Pittenweem swimming pool....

20th September 2017 (Wednesday) ... 13.30    When I went along to Elie for the papers this morning, I got slightly diverted and ended up along at the old Pittenweem tidal swimming pool.  Pittenweem  swimming pool.    Unfortunately we have a, mostly overcast, with occasional spits and spots of rain, morning.     I must go back on a ‘bright and  sunny’ morning... this will show up the different colours of the sandstone rocks etc better.    It is an interesting spot, and would have been busy in the 1930’s , 40’s and 50’s.        20.30     My day has been spent pottering around Ivy... including baking a batch of wholemeal scones.    Note to self .... I must remember to freeze some of them this time;  rather than feed them to Blob and his pals.     It has been a grey and sometimes damp day;  not a day for bumbling about outside.    The ‘cold’ that I had last night didn’t come to anything.... Cold and overcast ....

18th April 2024 (Thursday)    08.00 .... The Fife Weather cams are all showing an overcast sky:  rain hasn't reached Fife so far, but is expected to arrive by mid morrrrrrrning...."light rain and a fresh Westerly breeze" being the forecast until later in the afternoon;  but we're going to end the day with a bonnie evening.  Hmmmmm .... I don't think I'll be painting any bits of the shed today; and that was my project to take my mind off the car.   Computer stuff it will have to be:  I'm actually in a writing mood so this might not be a wasted day. 09.00   Forget the heap oops... car (it's in the 'bad car' corner);  I'm excited because the workmen are here to begin work on the patio. They arrived a wee while ago;  unfortunately spits and spots o' rain arrived at the same time and, if  the rain is heavy and prolonged they won't be able to do much.   Showers are OK but not prolonged rain.  Must 'go' got to have another cuppa

Quiet morning ....

 5th October 2023 (Thursday)     09.30.... The crock pot has been fired up with a batch o’ Scotch Broth, George’s bucket has been put out for tomorrow morning....I have had breakfast, and now on my third cuppa of the morning; hoping for a stress free day.   The past two days were not stress free. Yesterday began really well.... I got the car insurance sorted, and was   settling down to check FB.    I saw a photograph captioned ‘Seal on a floe .... or was it?’   Being inquisitive I ‘clicked’ on it;   and that   was it .... flashing warnings all over the computer screen.     I’d been hacked.   A small window appeared purporting to be from Microsoft Security so I clicked on that and got an 0800 number to phone;    which I did and was answered by an Indian.     That’s when I should have pulled the plug on the computer.    However, h e as very   plausible so I began to follow his instructions for a few minutes... then  began to get suspicious;   especially when he began to insist that I
