Lovely morrrrrrrrrrrrrning ....

 8th April 2024 (Monday)    09.00 .... We have a bonnie start to the day... a good 'drying day'. but


rain is forecast later in the afternoon.   I have a washing to hang out before breakfast, and plan my activities for the day.    There's a chilly air just now, but once the temperature rises I might get the bike out.   Orf to have another cuppa.

15.15   With the weather being peaceful and warm, I went out on the bike for the first time in over a week.... and  enjoyed it.  I only went up to Chapel Green then to the Pony Field on the way home, but it was great being feeling the breeze on my face again.   The sky was starting to cloud over (tomorrow rain on the way) but there was a bonnie light about so I have a few photos to 'play' this evening.

21.00   I've been watching the eclipse from Ohio (USA) for the past hour or so and had to go out to the bucket and thought "jings we're having a total eclipse here" .... then remembered it is night time!   I think I need to make the 'orlicks and have an early night!  


The photographs I took in the afternoon have been sorted and I'm happy.  Being on the bike makes a big difference to  where I can go... and where I can stop.   The car, though handy, has limitations. I see loads o' potential photos when out in the car but there's nowhere to stop.  With the weather forecast being what it is for tomorrow (wet) I won't be out on the bike.... but will get 'wet look' photos from the car;  so the car does have it's uses!

Pittenweem swimming pool....

20th September 2017 (Wednesday) ... 13.30    When I went along to Elie for the papers this morning, I got slightly diverted and ended up along at the old Pittenweem tidal swimming pool.  Pittenweem  swimming pool.    Unfortunately we have a, mostly overcast, with occasional spits and spots of rain, morning.     I must go back on a ‘bright and  sunny’ morning... this will show up the different colours of the sandstone rocks etc better.    It is an interesting spot, and would have been busy in the 1930’s , 40’s and 50’s.        20.30     My day has been spent pottering around Ivy... including baking a batch of wholemeal scones.    Note to self .... I must remember to freeze some of them this time;  rather than feed them to Blob and his pals.     It has been a grey and sometimes damp day;  not a day for bumbling about outside.    The ‘cold’ that I had last night didn’t come to anything.... Quiet morning ....

 5th October 2023 (Thursday)     09.30.... The crock pot has been fired up with a batch o’ Scotch Broth, George’s bucket has been put out for tomorrow morning....I have had breakfast, and now on my third cuppa of the morning; hoping for a stress free day.   The past two days were not stress free. Yesterday began really well.... I got the car insurance sorted, and was   settling down to check FB.    I saw a photograph captioned ‘Seal on a floe .... or was it?’   Being inquisitive I ‘clicked’ on it;   and that   was it .... flashing warnings all over the computer screen.     I’d been hacked.   A small window appeared purporting to be from Microsoft Security so I clicked on that and got an 0800 number to phone;    which I did and was answered by an Indian.     That’s when I should have pulled the plug on the computer.    However, h e as very   plausible so I began to follow his instructions for a few minutes... then  began to get suspicious;   especially when he began to insist that I

Cold and overcast ....

18th April 2024 (Thursday)    08.00 .... The Fife Weather cams are all showing an overcast sky:  rain hasn't reached Fife so far, but is expected to arrive by mid morrrrrrrning...."light rain and a fresh Westerly breeze" being the forecast until later in the afternoon;  but we're going to end the day with a bonnie evening.  Hmmmmm .... I don't think I'll be painting any bits of the shed today; and that was my project to take my mind off the car.   Computer stuff it will have to be:  I'm actually in a writing mood so this might not be a wasted day. 09.00   Forget the heap oops... car (it's in the 'bad car' corner);  I'm excited because the workmen are here to begin work on the patio. They arrived a wee while ago;  unfortunately spits and spots o' rain arrived at the same time and, if  the rain is heavy and prolonged they won't be able to do much.   Showers are OK but not prolonged rain.  Must 'go' got to have another cuppa
