Damp ....

3rd April 2024 (Wednesday)    08.30 .... I've been for the papers (remembered to get them), and had


a run down to the harbour.    It's a beautiful morrrrning for taking atmospheric, wet look photographs from the car.   I've done aw that;  now I'm going to have breakfast and read the papers.  Oh... I don't think I'll be going out on the bike today!

17.00    Wellll .... there has been much dampness all day, and heavy dampness: so heavy in fact that the car is back in Ferry Road.   Actually Ferry Road has been busy today;  and I don't think it would be folk making for the beach.   Unless they were wanting 'wet look' photos.   I've had a lazy day;  Shona came by but was only delivering fruit loaf that she'd been baking... so Puku is starting his diet tomorrow!
I've done some research but most of the time I have been browsing the TV Channels;  including the 'News'.   The Middle East continues to sink to new depths!  Even President Biden of the USA said that the killing of aid workers (including three from the UK) was 'outrageous'.   The same President Biden could have stopped supplying the weaponry that's being used to do the killing weeks ago;  now that would be really doing something about it.  Oh I know all about the evil of October 7th... but, the roots of the problem go much deeper than October 7th.  
The Pope said in his Easter message "arms don't bring Peace".   That has been proved in every war up to now.... and this one will be no different.


22.30    It has been one wet day.... thankfully tomorrow is going to be drier.    Tomorrows forecast is "light cloud with a moderate breeze" ;  not much to get excited about, but definitely better than today.

Pittenweem swimming pool....

20th September 2017 (Wednesday) ... 13.30    When I went along to Elie for the papers this morning, I got slightly diverted and ended up along at the old Pittenweem tidal swimming pool.  Pittenweem  swimming pool.    Unfortunately we have a, mostly overcast, with occasional spits and spots of rain, morning.     I must go back on a ‘bright and  sunny’ morning... this will show up the different colours of the sandstone rocks etc better.    It is an interesting spot, and would have been busy in the 1930’s , 40’s and 50’s.        20.30     My day has been spent pottering around Ivy... including baking a batch of wholemeal scones.    Note to self .... I must remember to freeze some of them this time;  rather than feed them to Blob and his pals.     It has been a grey and sometimes damp day;  not a day for bumbling about outside.    The ‘cold’ that I had last night didn’t come to anything.... Quiet morning ....

 5th October 2023 (Thursday)     09.30.... The crock pot has been fired up with a batch o’ Scotch Broth, George’s bucket has been put out for tomorrow morning....I have had breakfast, and now on my third cuppa of the morning; hoping for a stress free day.   The past two days were not stress free. Yesterday began really well.... I got the car insurance sorted, and was   settling down to check FB.    I saw a photograph captioned ‘Seal on a floe .... or was it?’   Being inquisitive I ‘clicked’ on it;   and that   was it .... flashing warnings all over the computer screen.     I’d been hacked.   A small window appeared purporting to be from Microsoft Security so I clicked on that and got an 0800 number to phone;    which I did and was answered by an Indian.     That’s when I should have pulled the plug on the computer.    However, h e as very   plausible so I began to follow his instructions for a few minutes... then  began to get suspicious;   especially when he began to insist that I

Cold and overcast ....

18th April 2024 (Thursday)    08.00 .... The Fife Weather cams are all showing an overcast sky:  rain hasn't reached Fife so far, but is expected to arrive by mid morrrrrrrning...."light rain and a fresh Westerly breeze" being the forecast until later in the afternoon;  but we're going to end the day with a bonnie evening.  Hmmmmm .... I don't think I'll be painting any bits of the shed today; and that was my project to take my mind off the car.   Computer stuff it will have to be:  I'm actually in a writing mood so this might not be a wasted day. 09.00   Forget the heap oops... car (it's in the 'bad car' corner);  I'm excited because the workmen are here to begin work on the patio. They arrived a wee while ago;  unfortunately spits and spots o' rain arrived at the same time and, if  the rain is heavy and prolonged they won't be able to do much.   Showers are OK but not prolonged rain.  Must 'go' got to have another cuppa
