Bright and breezy ... the weather i.e.


24th October 2019 (Thursday)     08.00 .... it’s a bright and breezy
Kinneuchar.
morning , but not quite as cold as I thought it would be;  a nice morning for pruning a tree.    'The Boy' has been a lazy boy .... didn’t get out of bed until 07.15.   After checking the weather cams at 06.00  I went back to bed.    I’m feeling reasonably frisky .... but, much in need of a cuppa then breakfast.


12.00    I’ve had morrrrrrning coffee with ‘The Team’, picked up my prescription and the paper, then went to the harbour.... because I thought it wasn’t that cold.   It was cold at the harbour.    On the way up I stopped at The Toft to take a few pictures, which is  where I met Val.   Val lived in South Africa so she was definitely finding it cold.... and so was I by this time, so I grabbed a few photos and went home by way of Kinneuchar.   I was in the car.

The lilac tree has been half pruned (I ran out of space in the broon’ bucket) and the hydrangea has been cut back.   I will finish pruning the lilac tree tomorrow .... after the bucket has been emptied.

 19.00    I’ve had a reasonably productive day;  and even took time out in the afternoon to go up to Chapel Green.    When I was out I noticed that the temperature had dropped considerably so I didn’t go far.... I was on the bike.  It is forecast to be colder tomorrow with sunny intervals and a fresh breeze.   Hmmmm .... if the wind is too fresh it will feel really cold;  perhaps not day for the boy being out on the bike.

what they are doing but it looks like they are settling in for a few days.   If it isn’t too cold tomorrow it could be an interesting hole to have a peek into.
I’m going spend the remainder of the evening on the computer;  it’s that kind of evening .... and I feel productive.    I don’t know what I’ll do tomorrow;  it should be a bonnie day albeit colder so I might work in the garden.... out of the wind.   The again I could go somewhere in the car for a change of scenery.    I’ll make my mind up after morrrrrrrrrrrrning coffee.

Pittenweem swimming pool....

20th September 2017 (Wednesday) ... 13.30    When I went along to Elie for the papers this morning, I got slightly diverted and ended up along at the old Pittenweem tidal swimming pool.  Pittenweem  swimming pool.    Unfortunately we have a, mostly overcast, with occasional spits and spots of rain, morning.     I must go back on a ‘bright and  sunny’ morning... this will show up the different colours of the sandstone rocks etc better.    It is an interesting spot, and would have been busy in the 1930’s , 40’s and 50’s.        20.30     My day has been spent pottering around Ivy... including baking a batch of wholemeal scones.    Note to self .... I must remember to freeze some of them this time;  rather than feed them to Blob and his pals.     It has been a grey and sometimes damp day;  not a day for bumbling about outside.    The ‘cold’ that I had last night didn’t come to anything.... Cold and overcast ....

18th April 2024 (Thursday)    08.00 .... The Fife Weather cams are all showing an overcast sky:  rain hasn't reached Fife so far, but is expected to arrive by mid morrrrrrrning...."light rain and a fresh Westerly breeze" being the forecast until later in the afternoon;  but we're going to end the day with a bonnie evening.  Hmmmmm .... I don't think I'll be painting any bits of the shed today; and that was my project to take my mind off the car.   Computer stuff it will have to be:  I'm actually in a writing mood so this might not be a wasted day. 09.00   Forget the heap oops... car (it's in the 'bad car' corner);  I'm excited because the workmen are here to begin work on the patio. They arrived a wee while ago;  unfortunately spits and spots o' rain arrived at the same time and, if  the rain is heavy and prolonged they won't be able to do much.   Showers are OK but not prolonged rain.  Must 'go' got to have another cuppa

Quiet morning ....

 5th October 2023 (Thursday)     09.30.... The crock pot has been fired up with a batch o’ Scotch Broth, George’s bucket has been put out for tomorrow morning....I have had breakfast, and now on my third cuppa of the morning; hoping for a stress free day.   The past two days were not stress free. Yesterday began really well.... I got the car insurance sorted, and was   settling down to check FB.    I saw a photograph captioned ‘Seal on a floe .... or was it?’   Being inquisitive I ‘clicked’ on it;   and that   was it .... flashing warnings all over the computer screen.     I’d been hacked.   A small window appeared purporting to be from Microsoft Security so I clicked on that and got an 0800 number to phone;    which I did and was answered by an Indian.     That’s when I should have pulled the plug on the computer.    However, h e as very   plausible so I began to follow his instructions for a few minutes... then  began to get suspicious;   especially when he began to insist that I
