Cheese Place ....

31st Nov.. oops ...1st December 2017 (Friday) .... 09.30     I have been out for a decent walk, on what is a nice morning, but there is  a raw wind
Early morning sunlit Kincraig cliffs ... Earlsferry.
blowin’, and more cloud about;  I think the weather forecast mentions  a slight chance of a short spell of light rain in the afternoon.    Jim and I are going up to Gillingshill for a walk out of the wind;  in fact it could be warm down in the valley .... if the sun hits it.

20.30    We, Jim and I, ended up going to Harbour House for coffee, then Balcarres for a daunder round the Woodland walk;  and finally, the Cheese Place for a bowl of soup (I had Roast Fennel)and a scone for lunch.    It, the Cheese Place was surprisingly busy for the time of year.    Janette, who worked at the Craw’s Nest Hotel, works at the ‘Cheese Place’ now;   I was able to ask her about Kate, (from Arncroach) who worked at the Cheese Place until a couple of years ago.    She, Kate, lost her husband Alex, nearly a year
Jim on the  Balcarres Woodland Walk.
ago;  Alex was a keen, and exceptional photographer.

The ‘chance of rain’ never materialised here, though it has been cold all day with a damp feeling to the air.... the forecast is for the weather to turn warmer over the next few days.    It has been dull all afternoon so, having had a good walk in the morning, with another, albeit shorter one, on Balcarres, I didn’t go out for a walk;  choosing to stay warm in Ivy and catch up with some ‘office work’.

There’s a Coffee Morning in the Kilconquhar Church south hall tomorrow morning .... something to look forward too.    I must not forget this one, like I missed last Saturday’s one in the Elie Kirk hall.    I plan to do a woollen wash first thing and get it out on the line before the ‘CM’;  it’s doubtful if it, (the washing), will dry completely outside but there is a good drying breeze forecast.... with the chance of a short spell of light rain later in the afternoon.

I arrived home, from the Cheese Place, to find that someone had left a small box of
Mysterious box of chocolates.
Lindt chocolates on the front garden seat .... and, this was the good bit,  ‘Blob’ was eyeing them up!    Of course I couldn’t have ‘Blob’ yielding to temptation, and brought the box into Ivy;  ‘Blob’ got a couple of Digestive biscuits .... “Puku” will enjoy looking at the chocolates over Christmas!
