Cockstail Heron .....

16th July 2016 (Saturday) ..... 08.30     Hmmmm .... we have a ‘bright and breezy’ morning, and it feels quite ‘autumnal’;   a nice morning for being ‘out and about’.     Which I haven’t been.... ‘out and about’ i.e.   While Michael and Janice took
Heron (by Michael)
Bonnie along to the Cockstail Rocks at 06.00 .... I was sound asleep.   I did look over the gate at 04.30 but it was windy so I went back to bed:    I prefer ‘flat calm’, and reflections on the water, at that time of the morning.

The ‘troops’ are away  to ASDA, in Kirkcaldy, to get some shopping;   leaving “Bonnie” in charge at Ivy.   She, “Bonnie” is sound asleep!     Today’s ‘Master Plan’  involves going down to the Harbour to take in some Elie Fayre Day ‘fun’.   Unfortunately the sky is beginning to cloud over .... which means we might have some showers by afternoon time;   however we can pop into the Sailing Club for a coffee, if that happens.

22.30     It was breezy, and cold, down at the harbour this afternoon, but that didn’t deter folks from having some fun at the ‘Fayre Day’.    Anstruther lifeboat, moored alongside the pontoon, was a popular attraction.   The pontoon provided safe, and easy access, to all those who wished to look round the lifeboat.... definitely a good, and useful, investment by the Harbour Trust.  Janice and Michael went aboard, and I stayed on the pier.... taking photographs, of the ‘troops’.
I had walk round the stalls, where everyone seemed to be eating ....  the burger stall must have been busy.    “Puku”, who is fond of eating, was not;   I didn’t buy a burger.    Michael and Janice walked home via the High Street to browse the shops, I biked along South Street to avoid the traffic.
Michael put Sky Sports into my computer so I was able to watch ‘The Open’ ... albeit

without sound as my the computer speakers don’t work.    I have been impressed with the cameras that Sky use for their coverage.... very HD, and almost like being there.    Mind you for the money that folks have to pay for their Sky packages, it would have to be good.     Michael won’t get Sky Sports on his computer for a month.... cos I’ve got it!   We went up to the 19th Hole to watch the golf , with commentary, for an hour in the afternoon, but you couldn’t hear it anyway because of the noise in the 19th.   The adverts on Sky are a pain ... even though they are for ‘posh’ stuff.
“Puku” may have missed out down at the harbour, but he most certainly did not this evening!     Michael and Janice made the most delicious chicken and rice main meal, followed by strawberries and two kinds of cream, all of which “just slid down”.    Yes

“Puku” is contented tonight.
Janice and Michael are round at the 19th,  not watching golf ‘cos it’s finished for the day.   “Bonnie”, more affectionately known as “RD” is i/c in Ivy... and  sound asleep.    I am not sound asleep.
The weather forecast is for tomorrow to be much the same as today ... windy with the chance of showers later .... and not hot.
