Interesting sky ....

 26th November 2023 (Sunday)    08.30 .... I am looking for 'sunny spells' and an interesting

sky;  just now we have an overcast sky with much dampness:  it's definitely a drawing day.   I'll go for the paper after this update.... and probably have a run down to the harbour. I don't know what's in the air but something is not agreeing with my tubes.... so, apart from the above mentioned mission, I'll be staying in and warm most of 'today'.   The Fife Weather cams are all showing a grey sky apart from the  Upper Largo one.... which has a pale purple sky.

10.15   The cloud is starting to break up.... (I saw some 'bloo' bits) .... and I'm feeling playful.   Once the air clears I might try for the beach when the sunny spells arrive.   I've been for the Sunday Post... and milk ... and rolls;  but didn't go to the 'arbour.   I'll have mug o' coffee (need the caffeine) then get the pencils out until the 'sunny spells' arrive.   'Light precipitation' is forecast for later in the day.

15.00   After the above  mentioned mug of coffee I did have a slow wander to the beach, and took a wheen o' photographs because , not only was the beach busy, there was a bonnie light about.  Everybody was well wrapped up (including me) because there was a raw feel to the air, even though there was hardly any breeze: I didn't go down onto the actual beach, but I think I could have done, in spite of the steep drop after the storm a few weeks ago. I am pleased with today's photographs... and will have fun 'playing' with them in the evening.



19.00    I m glad that I went out in the morning;  the weather turned cauld and raw in the afternoon as the dampness moved in.   It was really was dreich when I went out to give 'Blob' his 'bedtime' snack.... even he looked a bit fed up of the cold weather.   I had hoped to do some work out in the garden this morning, but the auld tubes stopped that (it has been a bad day for asthmatics). The plan was to cut  back some more of the ivy.

21.00    I've had a busy enough day, and I enjoyed my wee wander to the beach....even though today's weather definitely did not agree with the auld breathing tubes; however, tomorrow is going to be breezier and that will shift traffic traffic fumes.    Slight 'Flap on'.... got the bedtime drink to make.

Pittenweem swimming pool....

20th September 2017 (Wednesday) ... 13.30    When I went along to Elie for the papers this morning, I got slightly diverted and ended up along at the old Pittenweem tidal swimming pool.  Pittenweem  swimming pool.    Unfortunately we have a, mostly overcast, with occasional spits and spots of rain, morning.     I must go back on a ‘bright and  sunny’ morning... this will show up the different colours of the sandstone rocks etc better.    It is an interesting spot, and would have been busy in the 1930’s , 40’s and 50’s.        20.30     My day has been spent pottering around Ivy... including baking a batch of wholemeal scones.    Note to self .... I must remember to freeze some of them this time;  rather than feed them to Blob and his pals.     It has been a grey and sometimes damp day;  not a day for bumbling about outside.    The ‘cold’ that I had last night didn’t come to anything.... Cold and overcast ....

18th April 2024 (Thursday)    08.00 .... The Fife Weather cams are all showing an overcast sky:  rain hasn't reached Fife so far, but is expected to arrive by mid morrrrrrrning...."light rain and a fresh Westerly breeze" being the forecast until later in the afternoon;  but we're going to end the day with a bonnie evening.  Hmmmmm .... I don't think I'll be painting any bits of the shed today; and that was my project to take my mind off the car.   Computer stuff it will have to be:  I'm actually in a writing mood so this might not be a wasted day. 09.00   Forget the heap oops... car (it's in the 'bad car' corner);  I'm excited because the workmen are here to begin work on the patio. They arrived a wee while ago;  unfortunately spits and spots o' rain arrived at the same time and, if  the rain is heavy and prolonged they won't be able to do much.   Showers are OK but not prolonged rain.  Must 'go' got to have another cuppa

Quiet morning ....

 5th October 2023 (Thursday)     09.30.... The crock pot has been fired up with a batch o’ Scotch Broth, George’s bucket has been put out for tomorrow morning....I have had breakfast, and now on my third cuppa of the morning; hoping for a stress free day.   The past two days were not stress free. Yesterday began really well.... I got the car insurance sorted, and was   settling down to check FB.    I saw a photograph captioned ‘Seal on a floe .... or was it?’   Being inquisitive I ‘clicked’ on it;   and that   was it .... flashing warnings all over the computer screen.     I’d been hacked.   A small window appeared purporting to be from Microsoft Security so I clicked on that and got an 0800 number to phone;    which I did and was answered by an Indian.     That’s when I should have pulled the plug on the computer.    However, h e as very   plausible so I began to follow his instructions for a few minutes... then  began to get suspicious;   especially when he began to insist that I
