Nice morrrrrrrning .....

16th November 2023 (Thursday)    08.00.... it's a nice quiet kind o' mornin' after a fair amount


of rain overnight... but it's fair just now and the sky has the promise of some sunny spells to come.    I have my haircut appointment with Lorraine, after which I'll nip along to Methil to visit Alice .... and do some shopping when I'm there.   It's a bonnie morning for doing things outside..... for a change!

16.30   It has been a lovely though slightly cool on the lugs day;  but that could be because I've had my haircut.   The stone masons have done another brilliant day's work.   If the weather is good tomorrow the stone cladding could be near enough finished.  As for me I haven't done any drawing today;  but I enjoyed my trip to Methil to see Alice;  where I had not only 'morrrrning tea' but also tasty 'Chicken Cobbler' for  lunch!   I won't need much for dinner tonight.

I didn't do any shopping on the way home because I 've decided to do that on Saturday.   I've been keeping an eye on the News and I really can't believe what is happening in the Middle East.  Of course I know about the evil of October 7th being the cause of this War;  but there's been  trouble out there since long before the 7th October 2023.  It's going to take some brave Middle East Diplomats and Politicians to come up with an answer to the root cause of Middle East problems.


19.30    I've had a restful, and enjoyable day....now I'm well ready for an early bedtime chocolate and an evening watching something on the TV.  The forecast for tomorrow is 'misty with light winds' so could have interesting photographs.   I haven't a 'plan' for tomorrow, but I'm sure I'll find something to do.   I'm really enjoying my drawing just now.... and I have another one in mind.... so I'll do some of that.

Pittenweem swimming pool....

20th September 2017 (Wednesday) ... 13.30    When I went along to Elie for the papers this morning, I got slightly diverted and ended up along at the old Pittenweem tidal swimming pool.  Pittenweem  swimming pool.    Unfortunately we have a, mostly overcast, with occasional spits and spots of rain, morning.     I must go back on a ‘bright and  sunny’ morning... this will show up the different colours of the sandstone rocks etc better.    It is an interesting spot, and would have been busy in the 1930’s , 40’s and 50’s.        20.30     My day has been spent pottering around Ivy... including baking a batch of wholemeal scones.    Note to self .... I must remember to freeze some of them this time;  rather than feed them to Blob and his pals.     It has been a grey and sometimes damp day;  not a day for bumbling about outside.    The ‘cold’ that I had last night didn’t come to anything.... Cold and overcast ....

18th April 2024 (Thursday)    08.00 .... The Fife Weather cams are all showing an overcast sky:  rain hasn't reached Fife so far, but is expected to arrive by mid morrrrrrrning...."light rain and a fresh Westerly breeze" being the forecast until later in the afternoon;  but we're going to end the day with a bonnie evening.  Hmmmmm .... I don't think I'll be painting any bits of the shed today; and that was my project to take my mind off the car.   Computer stuff it will have to be:  I'm actually in a writing mood so this might not be a wasted day. 09.00   Forget the heap oops... car (it's in the 'bad car' corner);  I'm excited because the workmen are here to begin work on the patio. They arrived a wee while ago;  unfortunately spits and spots o' rain arrived at the same time and, if  the rain is heavy and prolonged they won't be able to do much.   Showers are OK but not prolonged rain.  Must 'go' got to have another cuppa

Quiet morning ....

 5th October 2023 (Thursday)     09.30.... The crock pot has been fired up with a batch o’ Scotch Broth, George’s bucket has been put out for tomorrow morning....I have had breakfast, and now on my third cuppa of the morning; hoping for a stress free day.   The past two days were not stress free. Yesterday began really well.... I got the car insurance sorted, and was   settling down to check FB.    I saw a photograph captioned ‘Seal on a floe .... or was it?’   Being inquisitive I ‘clicked’ on it;   and that   was it .... flashing warnings all over the computer screen.     I’d been hacked.   A small window appeared purporting to be from Microsoft Security so I clicked on that and got an 0800 number to phone;    which I did and was answered by an Indian.     That’s when I should have pulled the plug on the computer.    However, h e as very   plausible so I began to follow his instructions for a few minutes... then  began to get suspicious;   especially when he began to insist that I
