Bonnie Christmas morning ..... .....

25th December 2021 (Saturday)      09.30 .... “Merry Christmas” to

Light touch of snow on roof of conservatory.

everyone.... enjoy being with family and friends again, but ‘stay safe’.

We have a lovely day  in Aberdeenshire, cold after a touch of overnight frost , and there’s a  bunch of sun touched cotton wool clouds dotted all over the sky;  I’d go out to the end of the drive but it’s icy so I’ll do that later.

11.00    We have a 'white Christmas', having had a flurry of snow at Auchnagatt overnight..... (it takes one snowflake to fall somewhere in the UK to make it a 'white Christmas').... and we have had a lot of snowflakes in Aberdeenshire;  especially up Deeside at Braemar etc.

17.00    We’ve had a really enjoyable and restful Christmas Day.    The weather has been perfect, though cold;  the ice never lifted in the shade.   I walked a couple of times to the end of the drive but didn’t venture onto the road ‘cos it looked icy.  Jackie and Catriona went for a walk, along the Buchan Way (former railway line now a walking cycling path) in the afternoon; I stopped at ‘home’ with a puzzle book that Santa (bless his huge present bag) left.   We opened our presents in the morning, and will finish out Christmas Day with Christmas Dinner this evening.  We ‘Skyped’ the Sussex Troops in the morning;  Emily, John, John (JB), and Michael were all at Janice and Mike’s (Uckfield) so, in spite of COVID we have had a really enjoyable.... and safe Christmas.

21.30    Wellll ... ‘Puku’ (bless his shapely 8.5 pack) is a content ‘puku’ tonight.   We enjoyed a lovely Christmas Dinner created by Jackie;  the boys did their bit by staying ‘oot o’ the road’ until the vital time.  After Dinner we watched ‘Farmageddon’ (Shaun the Sheep’.... welllllll .... Jackie, Catriona and Iain watched it all the way through;  I watched it sporadically.... due to a touch of  ‘heavy eyelids after dinner’.

‘Strong winds and sleet’ is the forecast for us tomorrow;  we all got puzzle and Soduko

books from Santa so it will be  a day of solving brain teasers if it’s wet.   I might take a walk to the end of the road at some point, but that all depends on the weather.
