 to the Coffee Morning;   we have light rain, on a westerly breeze, at the moment.    However, the clouds are breaking up, and I can see blue bits so there is a chance of a ‘sunny spell’, or even two,....  but the forecast is for more spells of rain to move over us, so it looks like a mixture of sunny spells and rainy spells for us today.     Not a ‘drying day’.    

20.00    The weather has been unsettled today;  with short spells of rain.... one heavy shower.... and the sky is not very pretty at present, though it might not actually rain.     As it was spitting rain when I was about to leave to go to the coffee morning, I went in the car.

The Coffee Morning was quieter that I expected it to be.    Considering that the villages are full of ‘visitors’, this was slightly disappointing;   having said that, the  locals were there ‘in force’, but it would have been good to see some ‘strange’ faces in the Hall.

 It  felt good being ‘back’ in the ‘CM’ groove again.  

Nothing is happening anywhere in the whole of Trinity territory.    Oh I tell a lie;   there was an accident in Main street Colinsburgh this morning... this information came from my “Colinsburgh TSRR”.     (TSRR? .... you can’t have forgotten already;  Top Secret Roving Reporter).   I must remember to tell Sheila that she is my ... oops ... no longer a secret!

I went back to Ivy and had a light lunch before going along to Leven to do a Sainsbury’s shopping.    The shop was quiet;  but at that time it was sunny .... and hot.     I was not comfortable in the heat, and was glad to get back to Ivy.
George arrived just as I finished packing the messages away, so we had a cuppa and a

piece of Lemon Drizzle cake.    The Drizzle cake I bought at the ‘CM’, along with a Ginger Bread.    You always get fabulous home baking at our coffee mornings.    George has had his bike ‘renovated’ by ‘Two Wheels’ from Peat Inn.    The bike is like new again.

The weather forecast for tomorrow is ‘good’ (mostly) so I have done a washing to be put out on the line first thing.   Depending on how good , “good (mostly)” is, I might do some painting.

Pittenweem swimming pool....

20th September 2017 (Wednesday) ... 13.30    When I went along to Elie for the papers this morning, I got slightly diverted and ended up along at the old Pittenweem tidal swimming pool.  Pittenweem  swimming pool.    Unfortunately we have a, mostly overcast, with occasional spits and spots of rain, morning.     I must go back on a ‘bright and  sunny’ morning... this will show up the different colours of the sandstone rocks etc better.    It is an interesting spot, and would have been busy in the 1930’s , 40’s and 50’s.        20.30     My day has been spent pottering around Ivy... including baking a batch of wholemeal scones.    Note to self .... I must remember to freeze some of them this time;  rather than feed them to Blob and his pals.     It has been a grey and sometimes damp day;  not a day for bumbling about outside.    The ‘cold’ that I had last night didn’t come to anything.... Quiet morning ....

 5th October 2023 (Thursday)     09.30.... The crock pot has been fired up with a batch o’ Scotch Broth, George’s bucket has been put out for tomorrow morning....I have had breakfast, and now on my third cuppa of the morning; hoping for a stress free day.   The past two days were not stress free. Yesterday began really well.... I got the car insurance sorted, and was   settling down to check FB.    I saw a photograph captioned ‘Seal on a floe .... or was it?’   Being inquisitive I ‘clicked’ on it;   and that   was it .... flashing warnings all over the computer screen.     I’d been hacked.   A small window appeared purporting to be from Microsoft Security so I clicked on that and got an 0800 number to phone;    which I did and was answered by an Indian.     That’s when I should have pulled the plug on the computer.    However, h e as very   plausible so I began to follow his instructions for a few minutes... then  began to get suspicious;   especially when he began to insist that I

Cold and overcast ....

18th April 2024 (Thursday)    08.00 .... The Fife Weather cams are all showing an overcast sky:  rain hasn't reached Fife so far, but is expected to arrive by mid morrrrrrrning...."light rain and a fresh Westerly breeze" being the forecast until later in the afternoon;  but we're going to end the day with a bonnie evening.  Hmmmmm .... I don't think I'll be painting any bits of the shed today; and that was my project to take my mind off the car.   Computer stuff it will have to be:  I'm actually in a writing mood so this might not be a wasted day. 09.00   Forget the heap oops... car (it's in the 'bad car' corner);  I'm excited because the workmen are here to begin work on the patio. They arrived a wee while ago;  unfortunately spits and spots o' rain arrived at the same time and, if  the rain is heavy and prolonged they won't be able to do much.   Showers are OK but not prolonged rain.  Must 'go' got to have another cuppa
