Cracking morning ....

2nd November 2017 (Thursday) .... 07.00     Morning has broken .... and, it’s a beauty;   wall to wall clear sky, with a touch of air frost.... perfection.     I

would have written wall to wall sunshine, but Mother Earth has another 23 minutes of spinning to do before the sun appears over the horizon .... 07.23 being sunrise time here.    I’ve been on the move since 06.00... and  haven’t been down to the beach!     The washing is on the line .... and a lot of other wee jobs around Ivy;  including feeding ‘Blob’.   He gets ‘up’ even earlier than I do .... he’s there as soon as I open the front door.     Must ‘go’ .... I’m feeling frisky.    Have a lovely morning/day /evening/night...  wherever you are. 

  21.00    We have had a gorgeous day;  from the crack o’ dawn, right  through to sunset and moon-rise:   it’s was romantic lovely!  
Sunset.
This has been a busy day for ‘the Boy;  I had the ‘girls’, then the ‘Drop in Cafe’ in the afternoon, and I managed to fit in a morning, and afternoon walk, on the beach.    It has been that kind of day .... you want to do stuff.    The ‘girls’ seemed to find the sunshine pleasurable too;   they were clucking contentedly, ....  and ... produced three eggs!    As a reward for all their effort, I put new bedding in their nest boxes.

On my morning walk I met and was speaking to ‘Deany’ (lovely, and original, name), who was out walking the dogs.   I was in need of someone to talk to this morning.... and Deany was that person.    We chatted our way as far as the Cockstail Rocks, where I set off back to Ivy to get the kettle on, so that Jimmy could have a morning cuppa:  I had spotted him poodling his way ‘roond the Chapel’.

The ‘Cafe’ was quiet at first, but soon filled up.... and was soon contentedly buzzing as we  “Drop In’s” began to warm up to the various topics being discussed, around the tables.   It was good to see Mabel, looking well, and back in action, after feeling under
Moon-rise.
the weather for a couple of weeks.   Mac also, has had a bug .... and he too, is back in action .... and was feeling frisky this afternoon.    As is our norm after the ‘Cafe’, Jimmy and I took our cars down to the harbour to browse around .... it was good to see a number of folk wandering around, enjoying the scene ... and the sunny afternoon.

Friday (tomorrow) looks like being another bonnie day, so I’ll take a wander down to the beach after giving the ‘girls’ their breakfast.

Pittenweem swimming pool....

20th September 2017 (Wednesday) ... 13.30    When I went along to Elie for the papers this morning, I got slightly diverted and ended up along at the old Pittenweem tidal swimming pool.  Pittenweem  swimming pool.    Unfortunately we have a, mostly overcast, with occasional spits and spots of rain, morning.     I must go back on a ‘bright and  sunny’ morning... this will show up the different colours of the sandstone rocks etc better.    It is an interesting spot, and would have been busy in the 1930’s , 40’s and 50’s.        20.30     My day has been spent pottering around Ivy... including baking a batch of wholemeal scones.    Note to self .... I must remember to freeze some of them this time;  rather than feed them to Blob and his pals.     It has been a grey and sometimes damp day;  not a day for bumbling about outside.    The ‘cold’ that I had last night didn’t come to anything.... Quiet morning ....

 5th October 2023 (Thursday)     09.30.... The crock pot has been fired up with a batch o’ Scotch Broth, George’s bucket has been put out for tomorrow morning....I have had breakfast, and now on my third cuppa of the morning; hoping for a stress free day.   The past two days were not stress free. Yesterday began really well.... I got the car insurance sorted, and was   settling down to check FB.    I saw a photograph captioned ‘Seal on a floe .... or was it?’   Being inquisitive I ‘clicked’ on it;   and that   was it .... flashing warnings all over the computer screen.     I’d been hacked.   A small window appeared purporting to be from Microsoft Security so I clicked on that and got an 0800 number to phone;    which I did and was answered by an Indian.     That’s when I should have pulled the plug on the computer.    However, h e as very   plausible so I began to follow his instructions for a few minutes... then  began to get suspicious;   especially when he began to insist that I

Warm and damp ....

4th October 2023 (Wednesday)     08.00 .... there’s been light rain overnight and the forecast is ‘strong winds and rain’, but it’s not raining at the moment.... and it’s warm.   I think I’ll go for the paper (on the bike) before rain arrives.... the wind freshens.  Slight ‘flap on’. 09.30 .... Go out before the wind freshened?.... it was already F6 (at the Breakwater) when I was out.   Guess who didn’t go down to the harbour!   That said even at the Breakwater the wind was warm.   I didn’t stop at the Breakwater, in fact I couldn’t stop.... the wind blew me half way along South Street and I was up on The Terrace in ‘nae time’.     I managed to stop, at my usual place, and take a few photos before heading for the shelter of the High Street... and the ‘paper shop’.    The streets were quiet and I thought about going up to Chapel Green but decided give CG a miss today.....   and have drawing day. 22.45    My computer was  hacked this morning and I am going to use the wee laptop until Ia
