Overcast and cool....

29th May 2017 (Monday) .... 10.30    The weather is “iggzactly” as was
Earlsferry poppies.
forecast .... “overcast with a cold Easterly wind”;   a nice enough day for walking, which is what I did.    Instead of going out on the bike I walked the beach, Sea Tangle road and Chapel Green ‘route’, and had a good potter about the ‘Dome Park’ and the Chapel Ness rocks.    I say ‘cold’ East wind, but it isn’t that cold, but it is noticeably cooler that it was in Summer time ... oops .. over the past few days.

22.30     The weather remained mostly dull all day;  and we had a short spell of light rain around lunchtime.    The rain put paid to my ‘plan’, which was to go up to Chapel Green with the Canon camera,  to take a photo in less windy conditions than it was in morning.     However that can wait;   and the wind never really dropped anyway.    Instead of going out I switched on the tele to watch the News.   When I woke up I discovered two things;   it was raining, and all my neighbours seem to have gone orf home.   I’m feeling ‘lonely’ again.

Dome Park entrance, Earlsferry.
Jimmy came along, so being at a ‘loose end’ we decided to take Sooper Buggy II for a run along to Leven, where we’d have a cuppa in Sainsbury’s.    This was handy because I need Cornflakes for a ‘Top Secret’ mission that I am nurturing.
We met Iain Walker in Sainsbury’s.... he had been at the Swimming Pool, and had some shopping to do afterwards.    By the time Jimmy and I got home from Leven it was time to think ‘food’.... in fact it was time to do more than just think of ‘food’ .... “Puku” was hungry .... it was time to eat something
.
Heather and Alistair (up from Durham for, the holiday weekend), came down for a coffee and to update me on the progress they have  made with the Philip Scott/USA
Er... that looks like 'Me'  at the end of Elie pier.    It IS me!
connection, recently initiated by a lady from the USA, via  Elie and Earlsferry History Society.   Having delved back to the 1790’s, Heather has discovered that there is in fact a definite connection.    Philip, “Skipper”, never knew about the ‘Scott family’ in USA.
The weather for tomorrow is forecast to be slightly better than today’s has been, though it will start cloudy, we should have showers and sunshine by midday.

Photographs : Top – Poppies brighten up a dull morning, Middle – the entrance to Dome Park, Earlsferry, and Bottom – Stewart (correct spelling) took this photo of ‘someone’ that looks like ‘me’ at the end of Elie pier.    Hey! .... that IS me at the end of Elie Pier!
