Nice morrrrrrrrrrrrrrrning .....

6th February 2024 (Tuesday)     08.00.... the wind has moderated, the overnight cloud and rain is


moving south, and our weather forecast for today is .... 23.5 second pause.... 'sunny with a fresh breeze'!   It's going to be a bonnie day with loads o' clean, fresh air:  in other words....a play day.   And.... I'm feeling almost 'bright eyed and bushy tailed'.    The wind is going to freshen (F6) around the middle of the day, but precipitation isn't mentioned.


18.00    It has been a lovely, albeit slightly cooler than of late, day and I have enjoyed it.  I even went up to the golf course to catch the setting sun.    In the morning I went to Methil to sample Alice's latest batch o' biscuits (shortbread);  they passed the Alberto test, but Alice isn't sure.   Maggie always criticized her own baking;  and  Alice does that too.    Anyway after a cuppa and a couple of shortie biscuits we went to the Scoonie Care Home to visit three of Alice's friends.    The Care Home is being renovated o we had a roundabout way of getting in.    Oh... there are 4 way temporary traffic lights at the Scoonie roundabout,  they are a nuisance.


22.30    I'm tired after a busy day;.... so tomorrow will be a 'rest day'.   Myra is picking me up and we're going to the 'friendship Lunch' in the Elie kirk Hall, that is the only 'plan' I have hot tomorrow.... at the moment.   The weather forecast is good;  there will be a wintry feel to the air but we should miss all the wintry weather.   I might get the bike out for a turn round 'The Ferrie'., if it isn't too cold and windy tomorrow.
My bone scan result came through all clear, so I'm happy aboot that.   No further action required, apart from the regular blood tests (every 6 months).

Pittenweem swimming pool....

20th September 2017 (Wednesday) ... 13.30    When I went along to Elie for the papers this morning, I got slightly diverted and ended up along at the old Pittenweem tidal swimming pool.  Pittenweem  swimming pool.    Unfortunately we have a, mostly overcast, with occasional spits and spots of rain, morning.     I must go back on a ‘bright and  sunny’ morning... this will show up the different colours of the sandstone rocks etc better.    It is an interesting spot, and would have been busy in the 1930’s , 40’s and 50’s.        20.30     My day has been spent pottering around Ivy... including baking a batch of wholemeal scones.    Note to self .... I must remember to freeze some of them this time;  rather than feed them to Blob and his pals.     It has been a grey and sometimes damp day;  not a day for bumbling about outside.    The ‘cold’ that I had last night didn’t come to anything.... Cold and overcast ....

18th April 2024 (Thursday)    08.00 .... The Fife Weather cams are all showing an overcast sky:  rain hasn't reached Fife so far, but is expected to arrive by mid morrrrrrrning...."light rain and a fresh Westerly breeze" being the forecast until later in the afternoon;  but we're going to end the day with a bonnie evening.  Hmmmmm .... I don't think I'll be painting any bits of the shed today; and that was my project to take my mind off the car.   Computer stuff it will have to be:  I'm actually in a writing mood so this might not be a wasted day. 09.00   Forget the heap oops... car (it's in the 'bad car' corner);  I'm excited because the workmen are here to begin work on the patio. They arrived a wee while ago;  unfortunately spits and spots o' rain arrived at the same time and, if  the rain is heavy and prolonged they won't be able to do much.   Showers are OK but not prolonged rain.  Must 'go' got to have another cuppa

Quiet morning ....

 5th October 2023 (Thursday)     09.30.... The crock pot has been fired up with a batch o’ Scotch Broth, George’s bucket has been put out for tomorrow morning....I have had breakfast, and now on my third cuppa of the morning; hoping for a stress free day.   The past two days were not stress free. Yesterday began really well.... I got the car insurance sorted, and was   settling down to check FB.    I saw a photograph captioned ‘Seal on a floe .... or was it?’   Being inquisitive I ‘clicked’ on it;   and that   was it .... flashing warnings all over the computer screen.     I’d been hacked.   A small window appeared purporting to be from Microsoft Security so I clicked on that and got an 0800 number to phone;    which I did and was answered by an Indian.     That’s when I should have pulled the plug on the computer.    However, h e as very   plausible so I began to follow his instructions for a few minutes... then  began to get suspicious;   especially when he began to insist that I
