Bright and breezy....

Kincraig Cliffs - Earlsferry.

have been out enjoying it.   It's a bit too breezy for me  so I only went up to the Chapel Green area had pottered around there.   I don't particularly like going out with the camera in the middle part of the day, but the wind is expected to freshen and there's the chance of light showers .... which is why I was out at midday.   I met a few people doing the Coastal Path and the golf course had golfers dotted around, but the villages seemed are quieter than they were last week.




21.00    Ferry Road was 'Closed' during working hours today which meant there was work going on at the Broomlees - Kinneuchar section of the roadworks.   I thought about going up to see what was happening but the sky had clouded over .... and I was busy transferring photographs.  I'm wondering if that bit of the roadworks will be finished this week.   
My muscles are still still with biking but they'll get a rest for the next few days as the weather forecast for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mentions precipitation.

Dome Park - Chapel Green.

I must admit that I am enjoying working with the older digital photographs; it's the quick browse after transferring that's exciting.   The big job... and probably even more interesting, is going to be scanning the old 35mm film photographs to get them on to external hard drives.   The 'browsing' will happen when I'm scanning the 35mm photographs.  That will most likely be a winter job;  unless we have another wet summer.
 
Biking has made me awfie tired in the evenings (as well as the afternoon) so it's another early night for 'the boy'.   I had a hot shower at 17.30 and have been in my loungers ever since;  going to bed will be easy.

'Light rain and afresh breeze' is our weather for tomorrow;  and I'm looking for sunny spells so that I can have a quick, albeit short, run out on the bike!

Pittenweem swimming pool....

20th September 2017 (Wednesday) ... 13.30    When I went along to Elie for the papers this morning, I got slightly diverted and ended up along at the old Pittenweem tidal swimming pool.  Pittenweem  swimming pool.    Unfortunately we have a, mostly overcast, with occasional spits and spots of rain, morning.     I must go back on a ‘bright and  sunny’ morning... this will show up the different colours of the sandstone rocks etc better.    It is an interesting spot, and would have been busy in the 1930’s , 40’s and 50’s.        20.30     My day has been spent pottering around Ivy... including baking a batch of wholemeal scones.    Note to self .... I must remember to freeze some of them this time;  rather than feed them to Blob and his pals.     It has been a grey and sometimes damp day;  not a day for bumbling about outside.    The ‘cold’ that I had last night didn’t come to anything.... Cold and overcast ....

18th April 2024 (Thursday)    08.00 .... The Fife Weather cams are all showing an overcast sky:  rain hasn't reached Fife so far, but is expected to arrive by mid morrrrrrrning...."light rain and a fresh Westerly breeze" being the forecast until later in the afternoon;  but we're going to end the day with a bonnie evening.  Hmmmmm .... I don't think I'll be painting any bits of the shed today; and that was my project to take my mind off the car.   Computer stuff it will have to be:  I'm actually in a writing mood so this might not be a wasted day. 09.00   Forget the heap oops... car (it's in the 'bad car' corner);  I'm excited because the workmen are here to begin work on the patio. They arrived a wee while ago;  unfortunately spits and spots o' rain arrived at the same time and, if  the rain is heavy and prolonged they won't be able to do much.   Showers are OK but not prolonged rain.  Must 'go' got to have another cuppa

Quiet morning ....

 5th October 2023 (Thursday)     09.30.... The crock pot has been fired up with a batch o’ Scotch Broth, George’s bucket has been put out for tomorrow morning....I have had breakfast, and now on my third cuppa of the morning; hoping for a stress free day.   The past two days were not stress free. Yesterday began really well.... I got the car insurance sorted, and was   settling down to check FB.    I saw a photograph captioned ‘Seal on a floe .... or was it?’   Being inquisitive I ‘clicked’ on it;   and that   was it .... flashing warnings all over the computer screen.     I’d been hacked.   A small window appeared purporting to be from Microsoft Security so I clicked on that and got an 0800 number to phone;    which I did and was answered by an Indian.     That’s when I should have pulled the plug on the computer.    However, h e as very   plausible so I began to follow his instructions for a few minutes... then  began to get suspicious;   especially when he began to insist that I
