Nice morning ....


6th July 2018 (Friday) .... 09.30    It was cloudy when I first went out this morning, but blue is beginning to take over the sky and it looks like we’ll be having
Cloudy - but bonnie.
another nice day.    I’ve had a good walk;  the beach, Chapel Green and the golf course.... that will be my exercise for the day.   I’m taking the car when I go for the paper .... and coffee, because my knee does not agree with too much exercise.
I watered the roses this morning;  dearie me, that hose is the worst hose we have ever had:    completely inflexible.     It will be cut into bucket fitting lengths as soon as we get back from Cornwall.   Orf to have a cuppa.


20.30    Yet another lovely day draws to a close;  and ...  I have enjoyed it, though I did have a rest during the heat of the afternoon.   
I did take the car up to Elie for the paper (and stamps), and enjoyed a coffee,  and chat, with ‘the Troops’ in harbour House.    The villages are busy just now, with people

having a holiday in the villages, and with day trippers coming for a day on the beach. 
  
The car is away for its holiday... at Arncroach ... with Brian and Moira.    Next weekend is a  big ‘changeover’ weekend ;  the end of the Edinburgh holiday, and the beginning of the Glasgow one.    I kinda think the villages could be busy.  
I’ve had a reasonably busy day:  my case and holdall are packed, all I need to do is lock up the shed etc.... and have an early night in bed.    Jim and Myra are picking me up at 08.00(ish) I think, but I should be ready by then:  if I remember to come back from the beach.    Actually I might give the beach a miss tomorrow morning and concentrate on being ready!

have an overnight stop.    The plan is to upload a photograph onto FB every so often via the i-phone.   I have had a couple of practice shots.    The Hutte I will update when I get back to Ivy.     I do have the laptop packed but that’s for emptying the camera card in the evening.   If there is time I might do  a short Hutte update in the middle of the week.

Pittenweem swimming pool....

20th September 2017 (Wednesday) ... 13.30    When I went along to Elie for the papers this morning, I got slightly diverted and ended up along at the old Pittenweem tidal swimming pool.  Pittenweem  swimming pool.    Unfortunately we have a, mostly overcast, with occasional spits and spots of rain, morning.     I must go back on a ‘bright and  sunny’ morning... this will show up the different colours of the sandstone rocks etc better.    It is an interesting spot, and would have been busy in the 1930’s , 40’s and 50’s.        20.30     My day has been spent pottering around Ivy... including baking a batch of wholemeal scones.    Note to self .... I must remember to freeze some of them this time;  rather than feed them to Blob and his pals.     It has been a grey and sometimes damp day;  not a day for bumbling about outside.    The ‘cold’ that I had last night didn’t come to anything.... Quiet morning ....

 5th October 2023 (Thursday)     09.30.... The crock pot has been fired up with a batch o’ Scotch Broth, George’s bucket has been put out for tomorrow morning....I have had breakfast, and now on my third cuppa of the morning; hoping for a stress free day.   The past two days were not stress free. Yesterday began really well.... I got the car insurance sorted, and was   settling down to check FB.    I saw a photograph captioned ‘Seal on a floe .... or was it?’   Being inquisitive I ‘clicked’ on it;   and that   was it .... flashing warnings all over the computer screen.     I’d been hacked.   A small window appeared purporting to be from Microsoft Security so I clicked on that and got an 0800 number to phone;    which I did and was answered by an Indian.     That’s when I should have pulled the plug on the computer.    However, h e as very   plausible so I began to follow his instructions for a few minutes... then  began to get suspicious;   especially when he began to insist that I

Warm and damp ....

4th October 2023 (Wednesday)     08.00 .... there’s been light rain overnight and the forecast is ‘strong winds and rain’, but it’s not raining at the moment.... and it’s warm.   I think I’ll go for the paper (on the bike) before rain arrives.... the wind freshens.  Slight ‘flap on’. 09.30 .... Go out before the wind freshened?.... it was already F6 (at the Breakwater) when I was out.   Guess who didn’t go down to the harbour!   That said even at the Breakwater the wind was warm.   I didn’t stop at the Breakwater, in fact I couldn’t stop.... the wind blew me half way along South Street and I was up on The Terrace in ‘nae time’.     I managed to stop, at my usual place, and take a few photos before heading for the shelter of the High Street... and the ‘paper shop’.    The streets were quiet and I thought about going up to Chapel Green but decided give CG a miss today.....   and have drawing day. 22.45    My computer was  hacked this morning and I am going to use the wee laptop until Ia
