Absolutely gorgeous 'Indian Summer' afternoon .... ....

20th October 2016 (Thursday) .... 09.00    The sky is overcast at present, but we have been ‘promised’ sunshine by midday;  however,  there is a light Northwest

breeze, that is keeping the temperature down;   it might be warm, in the sunshine, and out of the breeze.

We have the ‘Drop in Cafe’ to look forward to in the afternoon;   until then, as this is ‘broon’ bucket week, I will fill up the ‘bucket’ with a few of the weeds that are scattering their seeds around  the fertile Ivy garden soil.

21.30      A light shower passed over when I was down on the beach this morning, but it only added to the beauty of the place;   even shower clouds take on a ‘bonnie’ look when they’re over Elie and Earlsferry.    After the sun broke through we ended up with a dazzling day, and the villages have been busy, with folk enjoying this spell of good weather, and the beauty that is Elie and Earlsferry.    Hopefully tomorrow’s weather will turn out to be a repeat of today’s.... the wind is

forecast to be negligible so there will be reflections on the water:  even though it may take the sun longer to break through the cloud, Elie and Earlsferry will still look attractive.

We had a surprise celebration ‘birthday cake’ for Jimmy at the ‘Drop in Cafe’, this being the ‘Cafe’ before his birthday, which is on Tuesday 25th.      On that date Jimmy will, at some point, be “iggzactly” 2,840,313,600 seconds old.    Jimmy ain’t no chicken .... he’s sort of more of a ‘rooster’.

The trees are looking very autumnal now, this means that I need to go out and get some pictures;   I might do that tomorrow afternoon.    Unfortunately I am ‘off’ the bike just
Elie this afternoon.
now so it will all have to be done by way of car and foot.

Sadly I’m going to have to miss my friend Cecily’s ‘Celebration of Life’ service tomorrow;   the pills I am ‘on’ are beginning to have side effects so it would be unwise of me to go.   Cecily was one of those especial people that you knew would always be there when needed:   suddenly she isn’t, but she leaves behind many ‘Happy Cecily Memories’.
