Beautiful morrrrrrrning ....

5th June 2021 (Saturday)   10.30 .... I had another braw ‘paper run’ this

Elie Ness lighthouse....with Cadillac in the foreground.

morning.... and the sun was warm at that time.    I did the same route as yesterday anti clockwise;  things look ‘different’ going the other way.    The wind had freshened by the time I got back to Ivy and there are a few fluffy clouds beginning to appear..... we might have some bonnie clouds by evening time.   I have sorted a few of this morning’s photographs, the remainder will be done later;  right now it’s time for a cuppa and a cat ... Soduko, in The Hutte.

16.30    It has been a ‘sunny and warm’ day;  too hot to work in the garden.    I was heading towards a really ‘lazy day;  luckily Shona came down from Barnyards (on her bike), so we had a cuppa and a lot of chatting as we caught up with each other’s ‘news’.    At one point we had to abandon The Hutte as it was too hot, even with the door and vents open.   Shona is away home so I am thinking of having a run up to Chapel Green.... before putting the bike battery on charge for tomorrow.   I might get a wee bit o’ tidying up done in the garden in the evening .... when the air is cooler.    It was 21C in the shade in the middle of the afternoon.

The East end of Elie High Street.

20.00    Instead of tiring myself out with working in the garden.... I went up to Chapel Green to contemplate.    Vicky Salvage and her husband (St Monans) came round, walking their dog, and stopped to have chat:  mostly about the changes that are happening around the East Neuk.   The whole of the East Neuk is busy with holiday makers, houses changing hands at exorbitant prices.... and general ‘change’ all round.    There’s no doubt that the year of the COVID pandemic will go down as a time of major change, around the East Neuk.  However, this has been a good day regarding conversation for me;  things are becoming more ‘normal’ as far as that goes.

The bike battery is charging up just now, ready for a wee explore somewhere tomorrow:  the weather forecast is good.   I’ll go out later in the morning.... the roads are usually quieter on a Sunday.
