Bonnie morning ....

24th November 2018 (Saturday) .... 07.30   ‘Light cloud on an easterly

breeze with a chance of showers, then longer spells of rain later in the afternoon/evening’;  not a bad weather forecast for this time of year.   And there could be attention grabbing clouds....I feel as excited as a bag o’ ferrets.   Being that sunrise isn’t until 08.10. I’ll have another cuppa then go down to the beach.

09.30     The beach is the place to be.... hardly any wind and very peaceful.   Only a couple of dog walkers, a jogger and me were out enjoying this blissful start to the morning.... well on the beach at that time.    It looks like being a useful kind of day for going out to play!

Jet trail...  over Ivy lum.
13.00    Mmmmm .... it was afternoon when the rain started;   at about 3 minutes after midday.   Right now we have heavy rain, and general greyness;  not an afternoon for ‘going out to play’;  however we have rugby on the tele  this afternoon:  Scotland v Argentina, followed by Wales v South Africa, so the rain doesn’t matter too much.    I had hoped to go for a walk around the Chapel Green area, but that has been cancelled.

20.30   Shoutin’ and bawlin’ at the tele is awfie tiring:  I’m shattered.   Scotland beat Argentina 14 – 9 in a finely balanced game;  that said the Argentine kicker missed four penalties.... so it could well have been a different ending.  There was heavy rain at the start and that affected the ball handling.    Nevertheless I enjoyed it and I’m looking forward to the Six Nations.     Wales beat South Africa  20 – 11 in the other match that I watched.
Oh .... I did get out for a walk;  the rain petered out about half past one so I went to the

beach before the rugby started.   The rain has started again and it's raining as I type.

We had a full compliment for coffee at Harbour House today, but Myra was out shopping with Janet(?), so the boys were ....leaderless.    This was not good.    We were like lost sheep at first.... but Brenda took us under her wing and we soon settled down.   It’s not easy being ‘leaderless boys’.

We’ve had two spells of rain since midday, ... but I think tomorrow is going to be slightly drier:  though we could get spells of light rain coming off the North Sea.
