Crail ....

6th October 2018 (Saturday) ..... 08.00     Mmmmmm ....at this time of the
Sunrise time.
morning we have an overcast sky, with a light breeze:  however the sky is clearing from the North West, so, we should have ‘sunny’ in an hour or so.    The beach was fairly busy at sunrise time, but low cloud prevented us seeing the sun actually rise.     It was a pleasant, and relaxing, morning walk... though it is cool.

19.00    After all the excitements of yesterday we decided to have a quiet day today.    I went up for the papers, and morning coffee;  while I was doing this ‘JB’  was making a big pan of stovies.   We had stovies for lunch.... and will have stovies for dinner.    In the afternoon we went up to the ‘Fudge Doughnut Factory’ (Cupar);  from there we went to Crail for coffee as the ‘factory’ cafe was choc –a- bloc.    By now it was a gorgeous afternoon....
'JB' on the Hen's Ladder - Crail.
sunny and warm:  it was warm because there was hardly any wind.    At Crail, we parked the car on the street at the top of the Hen’s Ladder and went down to the harbour;  arriving at the harbour at the same time as a wedding car:  the couple wanted their photographs taken around the harbour and beach.    I took a few photographs around the harbour;  of the wedding couple, and ‘Partan’, the Crail skiff. ... and ‘JB’ who was bumbling around the harbour.    The aroma of of coffee from the Harbour Cafe hit our nostrils, reminding us of our original reason for going to Crail;  coffee.     This little cafe is always popular.   In the Cafe we decided that we’d go home via ‘The Cheese Place’ to buy some cheese scones, cheese .... and oatcakes.    We were back in Ivy at 16.15.... well stocked with emergency supplies.

Unfortunately tomorrow’s weather is not going to be a repeat of today’s:    with wind

and rain being mentioned in the forecast for our area:     if this is the case, and the weather does turn out ‘orrid‘, JB’ and I have a ‘plan’ to keep us occupied.    We are not going to scoff all the emergency supplies.

This has been an enjoyable day.... and a fairly busy one.    With the new bed not being delivered until 25th (October), all action on that front has been put on the back burner.   The bunk beds will be dismantled before John goes back home next Friday.... maybe.
