Cold on the hands .....

5th October 2018 (Friday) ..... 08.30   The beach was enchanting this morning;   very peaceful, with tiny wavelets flopping on to the sand, time seemed to be standing still.    Skeins of geese flying over added the tranquil scene.... even their honking was muted.    Can geese 'whisp
15 minutes after sunrise.
er'?.... I doubt it.
It was cold on the hands, the temperature was not far above freezing;  in fact there would be a frost further inland.    That said it looks like we could be in for a bonnie bay, though perhaps not overly warm.

19.38 .... now that was a good year!     The Centre of the Universe has been gorgeous today;   a bit on the cool side, but warm out sheltered from the wind.

John and I went to Kirkcaldy.    Jings... ‘Sooper Buggy’ is a nippy car when she gets above 35 mph.    The single bed has been purchased from a bed shop (Benson’s) in Kirkcaldy.     The mattress is firm... just what I want.    It is being delivered, and  put together, in a couple of weeks.    The ‘plan’ is to demolish the bunk beds and make the room ready before ‘JB’ goes back to Sussex next week.    We had coffee, and a goodie,
JB at Chapel Green, Earlsferry.
in Gregg’s before going back to Leven to do a wee shopping.

In the afternoon we went down to the beach, then up to Chapel Green .... both beach, and Chapel Green were busy.   It was a lovely afternoon for enjoying the sun.   ‘JB’ drained the beach, and had a potter around the rocks:  I had to content myself with watching as my knee was suffering from yesterday’s walk at Ferrytoll.     It (my knee) does not like me walking on a hard surface.   Hence resting it today.

We went to Chapel Green in the car;  via Kinneuchar and Balbuthie Loan to see the geese feeding on the stubble fields.    They seem to be here in large numbers slightly earlier this year..... there’s a few big skeins  fly over the Royal Burgh morning and evening.

No real ‘plan’ for tomorrow, but we get the paint mixed for the front of Ivy.     I bought
Admiring his drainage scheme.
some exterior emulsion at B n Q’s in Kirkcaldy this morning.
We have had a busy day today, I for one will sleep well tonight.   I plan to have morning coffee in Har4bour House;   whether ‘JB’ will ‘surface’ in time for MC remains to be seen.
