Breezy ....

Enjoying the wind.
weather this morning is the wind, which is already brisk, but is going to freshen over the morning:  accompanied by showers and the occasional sunny spell... then moderating late in the afternoon.   There could be some interesting clouds;  it’s finding the ‘spot’, out of the wind, and rain. to get the pictures from;  probably the car.

19.00   The wind is moderating after a ‘bright and very breezy’ afternoon;  but we did get lucky and only caught the edge of a couple of showers.   One of those happened when I was going to the beach late in the afternoon.    That mission was aborted.

I’ve been out in the car a couple of times, but haven’t walked very far.   On days like today I make sure that point ‘B’ is not far from point ‘A’ ... i.e the car.
“It’s an ill wind that doesn’t blow somebody some good”.... and a perfect example of that could be seen in Elie Bay today.    Two men were in their element kite surfing...and they were giving it ‘laldie’.  I felt weak after watching them for 10 minutes, and had to go back to Ivy and have a reviving cuppa!

Elie Bay.
Ian (Jimmy’s Ian) brought along Jimmy’s post cards.... and there are many.    Probably thousands;  from all over the UK.    I remember Jimmy buying them at ‘cat boot sales’.    If someone was selling postcards he didn’t buy a few:  he haggled a price for the lot!   Ian also brought Chrissy and Margaret Dunsire’s holiday photographs of their trip to Australia and New Zealand in the 1930’s.   ‘Balvonie’, the house next door to Ivy, was the Dunsire family home.    Chrissy, Margaret and their brother David sold Balvonie and each bought a smaller house nearby, in 'The Ferry'.   The family lost two brothers in the Great War:  David served with the Royal Flying Corps.   I’ll try to do some research on their ‘Antipodes’ trip.

I’ve been watching the latest Brexit ‘news’:  it has to be hard selling something that

appears to guarantee that we'll end up in a lose’ situation, regardless of the outcome.... but that’s what they are trying to do.  There’s something wrong when a ‘deal’ is only slightly better than a ‘bad or no deal’.
The wind is still rattling the windows, but not as hard as it was.    It’s forecast to moderate tomorrow, and .... we are to get some long sunny spells in middle of the day.    I don’t know what I’m going to be doing tomorrow;  I’ll see how the weather is.
