make do with the ‘Hutt’ Special.    It’s windier, and colder, this morning;   I went round Elie estate on the bike in,  a clockwise direction this morning.... it’s the same route but it looks different doing it this was now and again.      Doing it this way I start with the hill up Ferry Road ... I walked it!    Oh there is an oak framed house being built up on the Estate;   traditional olde fashioned oak frame build.    I’ve never seen one being built in Scotland before, though I’m sure some will have been.... but not in Elie and Earlsferry.   This has always been a bonnie bike (or walk);  now we have a new build house adding to the interest.    Cannae wait to see the finished building.

23.00    I’ve had a very busy, and rewarding day;   having been out on the bike twice, and  polished the bonnet and roof of the Fiesta .... now,  I’m ready for bed.    The route that I take through the Estate passes the building site where the “Oak House” is being built ..... another house, being built next to the “Oak House”, is of the  modern timber framed variety.... a big one.    It will be interesting to see this site when it’s finished because we could end up with four (another two ‘plots’ await development) completely different house designs on this area of ground.... including ‘olde worlde’ style.   It should be an interesting summer.

Jim and Jimmy came round in the evening and we sorted out ‘local things’ and the ‘world’..... again.    ‘Mother Earth’ is in a sorry state just now;  God must often regret
The building site.
putting humans on the Planet when ‘he’ (why does God have to be a he?) sees the sorry mess we’re making of it.    There’s far too much weaponry scattered around our Mother Earth .... and in the hands of dreadful people.  

What am I going to do ‘ra morra?’     The forecast is for it to be windy, and cloudy with sunny periods..... I could polish some more bits of the Fiesta;   which has to lie up at Jimmy’s until  the paper work is sorted.

Pittenweem swimming pool....

20th September 2017 (Wednesday) ... 13.30    When I went along to Elie for the papers this morning, I got slightly diverted and ended up along at the old Pittenweem tidal swimming pool.  Pittenweem  swimming pool.    Unfortunately we have a, mostly overcast, with occasional spits and spots of rain, morning.     I must go back on a ‘bright and  sunny’ morning... this will show up the different colours of the sandstone rocks etc better.    It is an interesting spot, and would have been busy in the 1930’s , 40’s and 50’s.        20.30     My day has been spent pottering around Ivy... including baking a batch of wholemeal scones.    Note to self .... I must remember to freeze some of them this time;  rather than feed them to Blob and his pals.     It has been a grey and sometimes damp day;  not a day for bumbling about outside.    The ‘cold’ that I had last night didn’t come to anything.... Quiet morning ....

 5th October 2023 (Thursday)     09.30.... The crock pot has been fired up with a batch o’ Scotch Broth, George’s bucket has been put out for tomorrow morning....I have had breakfast, and now on my third cuppa of the morning; hoping for a stress free day.   The past two days were not stress free. Yesterday began really well.... I got the car insurance sorted, and was   settling down to check FB.    I saw a photograph captioned ‘Seal on a floe .... or was it?’   Being inquisitive I ‘clicked’ on it;   and that   was it .... flashing warnings all over the computer screen.     I’d been hacked.   A small window appeared purporting to be from Microsoft Security so I clicked on that and got an 0800 number to phone;    which I did and was answered by an Indian.     That’s when I should have pulled the plug on the computer.    However, h e as very   plausible so I began to follow his instructions for a few minutes... then  began to get suspicious;   especially when he began to insist that I

Warm and damp ....

4th October 2023 (Wednesday)     08.00 .... there’s been light rain overnight and the forecast is ‘strong winds and rain’, but it’s not raining at the moment.... and it’s warm.   I think I’ll go for the paper (on the bike) before rain arrives.... the wind freshens.  Slight ‘flap on’. 09.30 .... Go out before the wind freshened?.... it was already F6 (at the Breakwater) when I was out.   Guess who didn’t go down to the harbour!   That said even at the Breakwater the wind was warm.   I didn’t stop at the Breakwater, in fact I couldn’t stop.... the wind blew me half way along South Street and I was up on The Terrace in ‘nae time’.     I managed to stop, at my usual place, and take a few photos before heading for the shelter of the High Street... and the ‘paper shop’.    The streets were quiet and I thought about going up to Chapel Green but decided give CG a miss today.....   and have drawing day. 22.45    My computer was  hacked this morning and I am going to use the wee laptop until Ia
