Grand morning for pottering about on the beach .....

1st September 2016 (Thursday) ....     09.15    It is a bonnie  morning, but there is a brisk West wind (F4), and there are clouds scuttling over, some of which look threatening.... we could get showers later.    Nevertheless it’s a good morning for

going down to the beach ... wrapped up:  which is where we are going after a cuppa.    At the moment ‘M’ is browsing some of the photographs I took when out on our travels.

21.00     ‘M’ and I have, again, been busy;   I wanted some photos of ‘M’ taken up at Kilconquhar Church, and at Chapel Green.    We went out early and got the Kinneuchar ones done before Jimmy arrived for his morning cuppa, and to say “au revoir” to ‘M’ as this is the last day we shall see her on this holiday.    After Jimmy went orf down to the Sailing Club, ‘M’ and I went up to Chapel Green to get the photos I wanted, then onto Myra and Jim’s for lunch!    As per usual Myra’s ‘soup’ turned out to be a ‘real meal’, with plenty of chat (and wine for the non drivers):   loved every minute of it.    From Jim and Myra’s we went along to the ‘Drop in Cafe’ and had another hour of chat ... and coffee!

Back at Ivy, I sorted out the photo Folders that were going onto ‘M’s Memory stick;   this took a wee while, but we got that done:   then had a cuppa, and a ‘lite bite’  dinner ... a very ‘lite bite’ dinner I may add, because, having had lunch at Myra’s, we weren’t hungry.      I managed to fit in a migraine in the later afternoon, so that was a bit of a downer:   however a couple of pills sorted out the headache, and I’ll have an early

night in bed with my book, tonight;  the one ‘bonus’ about having a migraine is that I should be feeling ‘very frisky’ tomorrow.

A ‘Strong’ earthquake, 7.1 on the Richter Scale, has occurred off the Northeast of  North Island.    ‘M’s son, Colin and his wife Sue, have their New Zealand home on high ground, onshore from where the ‘quake’ was.    It ‘shakes rattles and rolls’,  does New Zealand!

‘M’ has been safely deposited back at St Monans, to stay, with her sister, until she leaves for home on Tuesday morning.    She has lots of family, and friends, to see before she leaves... and of course has still to finish packing.

The weather is forecast to be ‘bright, breezy and sunny’ after some overnight rain;   with the chance of showers moving in during the afternoon.
