Lovely, crisp frosty morning .....

20th November 2106 (Sunday) .... 08.30    We have a frosty start to on what is forecast to be a ‘sunny and cold’ day;   a nice day for wrapping up and going
My first firework photo!
for a walk.    Fortunately there is only a light wind, from the Northwest, so the wind chill factor isn’t that bad.
Iain is off to work (in Edinburgh), and will go straight up to Auchnagatt after work.   He has had a busy weekend;   the most awkward problem being fixing my laptop.    With my desktop computer having Skype in it now, I hardly need the laptop at Ivy at all  ....  but will need it when I go to Sussex etc.

I’ll do a wee bit o’ ‘ooverin and dustin’ then go for a wander up to Chapel Green. ... after the sun bumbles its way up....  from behind a bank of cloud.   For some unknown reason I’m feeling ‘playful’ this morning:   and the housework has suddenly dropped orf the bottom of the list of ‘things to do’!

21.00    It has been a cold day:   the car windscreen was frozen all day ....  I eventually scraped it and went down to the harbour to take some gloamin’ photographs from Elie pier.   Although cold it has been a bonnie day, and the villages have been busy with folks enjoying our wee villages.

I did do the housework ... well ... some of it, then went and cleaned, and filled, the bird feeders.   Blob (Bless his feathery butt) has been on the mooch all day .... he is a ‘specialist’ feeder,  being very fond of Digestive biscuits!     I have one new feeder that
The Toft, Elie.
I will fill with a mixture of various small seeds;  I want to see what it will attract.
Chris was excellent this afternoon when Jimmy and I went along to visit;  in fact I’d say that she was actually happy’, singing and enjoying being ‘herself’.    Chris kept singing “wha saw the tautie howkers wha saw them gang awa” etc”;   this is not her favourite song:  and neither Jimmy, nor I could remember what it (Chris’ favourite song) was called.    I said to Chris what’s the song that has the words “I heard your feet, but we could not meet” in it?    A few minutes later, out of the blue, Chris starts singing “Underneath the Lamplight!”    Whether my asking her that question triggered something in her brain we’ll never know:   it’s a strange ‘nae weelness’ is Alzheimer’s.    It was good seeing Chris happy.

Tomorrow is forecast to be another bonnie, and cold day:   I must try to get out for a

walk:  even though my knee is bothering me, I should manage to do the ‘roond the Chapel’ walk.
