Dour look to the sky ....

9th July 2017 (Sunday) .... 10.00    Hmmmm ....we have ‘overcast but dry’ just now;  sometimes the clouds look like breaking up letting the sun through.... but
Elie Harbour.
that can change to ‘threatening rain’ in ‘nae time’;   light rain is forecast for later.   Having said it is a nice day for being out;   and I have been;   ‘out’ i.e.   I biked down to Elie harbour via the Breakwater and South Street.     The aroma of fresh coffee was very inviting at the Breakwater, .... where I met, and chatted to Elizabeth and ‘Sapper’.   With it being overcast, and there’s a brisk WNW breeze, it is cooler .... the air has an autumnal feel to it.

21.00    Thank goodness that tomorrow is a ‘rest day’ (with the Tour de France);   I’m mair tired tonight than I was last night with the mountain climbing.     It was long and hard today, and the French rider, who led for most of  Stage 9, was pipped at the post
The Toft, Elie.
by less than an inch!    In between watching the ‘Tour’ I cleaned out my main computer.    It has been a good day for doing that.
We haven’t had a ‘bonnie’ day here .... overcast, and dour .... with rain for most of the afternoon.    It was fortuitous that I went biking in the morning....  I only wish I’d gone further.    The weather forecast for tomorrow isn’t “iggzactly” exciting;  though it isn’t going to be very windy, what wind there is will be from the east.... not so good.    We might have a short bright spell ..... one, would be one more than we’ve had today.    Oh .... and it isn’t going to be overly warm!   Yes .... it’s summer time.

Now I’m sure you will all be interested to know how “Albatross” (you can’t forget
The villages from the end of Elie pier.
‘her’ ... she left the Firth yesterday with oil rig attached), is bumbling along on her way to Corpus Christi:   ‘she’ passes through the ‘skinny bit’ of English Channel tonight and will be poodling along, orf the south coast of England tomorrow.   “JB” could get lucky and might just see the top of the oil rig!
‘The Boy’ has nae plans for tomorrow;   it all depends on what the weather is doing.     With it being a ‘rest day’ I’ll be able to do something away from the precincts of Ivy!
