Dreich morning ......

3rd April 2016 (Sunday) .... 10.00     It’s hard to imagine, on grey, wet morning like we have today, that Swallows and House Martins will ‘materialize’ in the next few days, awaking the first imaginings of a nice warm ‘summer’, in us humans.
Busy Ferry beach
That said, I wouldn’t say that this morning is a good morning for bird watching .... nor beach walking;   though I do feel very frolicky this morning, after a good long night’s sleep!    The new computer is in place, and more or less ready to ‘play’ with;   Iain is about to sort out the card for Jim’s camera, then we’ll have another cuppa.... after which it may be light enough outside to set up the camera to get some ‘Blob’ photos.

21.30     Wellll .... we’ve had a funny old day as far as the weather went, even getting a couple of hours of warm sunshine in the afternoon, but it has clouded over again and it now looks like we’re going to get more rain.   But, forget the weather (it’s going to rain again tomorrow anyway);   Iain finished sorting out the ‘new’ computer, and, once I get the ‘hang’ of it, and the bigger ‘screen’... the ‘bigger screen’ being two monitors ‘knitted’ together .... it will ideal for me working on my photos.    Having
Elie Bay
done a power of work, Iain poodled orf home to Auchnagatt at 17.00, and ought to be nearly home by now.... so I’m i/c everything electronic in Ivy tonight,.... including the kettle!    This has been a busy and successful weekend, even the TV has been fixed, not that I watch it a lot,  but it’s handy being able to press a specific Channel number on the hand set, and that Channel is the one that comes ‘on screen’;  recently that has not been the case.    A big ‘thank you’ to Iain for all the work he has done ... and for the varied selection of crisps etc that he forgot to take with him.     I’m sure Jimmy and I will manage to devour .... er nibble our way through a few packets by the ‘use by’ date!    George (Dod) came in for a short visit just before Iain left .... they were talking computer stuff which kinda ‘lost’ me.

I did manage a quick trip to the beach after Iain and Dod went orf home, but the sky
Elie beach
was well clouded over by this time, but, at least it was dry.... unlike earlier.    The beach was busy;  even on a grey evening the ‘old place’ looks bonnie in a quiet kid of way.     Oh ... Cecily already has her House Martins building nests so our feathery ‘summer’ visitors are early this year.    This might mean a nice long hot summer;   now, that would be a change!

The weather forecast is not good for tomorrow.. ..being much the same as today;   wet early then brighter later.
