Drop in Cafe ....

25th August 2016 (Thursday) .... 09.30    There’s a bank of low cloud come in from the North Sea overnight, giving us a grey, and damp, morning.    I looked
10th green .... the lady in red trousers holing her putt!
out at 05.00  and saw that it was thus, and went back to bed, finally getting ‘up’, and ‘running’ at 08.15.... well, maybe not running.    The weather should improve later .... but, with the wind being from the East, it’s a bit ‘iffy’.    There’s light ‘Scotch Mist’ falling now and again so I haven’t been down to the beach,... nor out on the bike;  but, I have done some ‘ooverin’ and dustin’!     Now I’m going to have a late breakfast.    Oh .... we have the ‘Drop in Cafe’ in the afternoon;   a chance to chat, and catch up with all the EKC Parish news.

22.30     We’ve had a ‘dreich’ evening, in fact it has been so since 16.00 this afternoon .... and it is still wet and miserable,...   however the wind is veering towards the West so it should be ‘bright and sunny’ by tomorrow morning.
I’ve had a ‘quietly busy’ day.    Jimmy arrived not long after I’d finished my ‘late breakfast’;   we had a cuppa and a chat.   Unfortunately, Jimmy didn’t have any

information for the Hutte pages:   He thought he did get some ‘information’, but couldn’t remember what it was.    After he left, I went up to Chapel Green on the bike and removed the flowers from the Boss’s seat as they had wilted.    I’m going to come up with a better way of fixing flowers to the seat the next time.... but I still intend using the champagne flute.
The ‘Drop in Cafe’ was busy this afternoon .... I think we were all happy to see it ‘open’ after the Summer break... and to catch up with local ‘news’.    Not that where was any ‘local news’... as far as I can make out, ‘nothing has happened anywhere’, over the summer period.    I certainly was glad to see everyone again:   next week we have the ‘Lite lunch’ at Colinsburgh, so we are back on track with the EKC “Friendly Get Thegither’s”.

‘M’ is coming along  next Tuesday... which is a week before she goes back home to New Zealand.     I think the plan is to be in ‘The Royal Burgh’ from Tuesday until

Thursday when we shall say our ‘goodbye’s’.    It has been really enjoyable going around as a ‘couple’, even though it was only ‘now and again’.     ‘M’s, “raison d’être”, was to visit her relations, and friends;   I’m really happy that I was able to spend some time with her.... and to use her for my model.
