Sunny and warm ....

12th August 2025 (Tuesday)     09.15 .... I don't have to say that it's going to be hot today;  it

Sheffield Park - Sussex.
already 18.5C (shade).   We have am absolutely beautiful morning, sunny and warm with only a breath of a breeze;  perfect day for beach.    Low tide is at 11.15 so there will be a big beach in the middle of the day.  I'd go down to Nana's Seat but it's going to be too hot for me:  I might get 'The Buggy' out if the streets aren't too busy;  but I suspect we will have day trippers on a day lovely like this.   Anyway, let's enjoy this less intense Scottish version, of the  heat wave they are having to put up with down in 'Sunny Sussex' and the South East.

11.00   I've just seen on the News that there's 'Heat Health' warning out for the whole of England;  different coloured warnings for different areas.   That means it's going to be hot and humid here too.... so the 'Scottish version' of the heat wave might not be much different.   (It's 22.5C on the patio thermometer just now).   I'll do a wee bit more to the ivy, then have morning coffee;  that will be my 'work' activity until later in the afternoon.

15.00     It's 'cosy' out in the garden (24.5C) .... but I stopped 'working', and came into Ivy Cottage a couple of hours ago.   I'll have another short working session in the evening.   I meant to take a 'before' photo but forgot.   I'll take the 'after' one tomorrow evening!   The ivy that would have been in the 'before' one is in the 'broon' bucket!
21.30    It has been a bonnie, warm and sunny, day and I'm sure the beach would have been busy.    It was far to hot from midday to 18.00 for me to go anywhere.   However I did venture as far as the Ferry Corner in the evening to get a few photos for the Alberto Archive.

I attacked the ivy as planned.   That's going to have to be a longish job;  the 'broon' bucket is where
garden rubbish goes and it is nearly full already.   There's enough room for the next two weeks kitchen waste.   This means the ivy cutting back is 'on hold' for two weeks.

We're to have another hot day tomorrow;  and it could be uncomfortably warm for sleeping tonight.  I'd

better find a book to read!

No 'plan' for tomorrow but I won't be going far, unless the roads are quiet and I go out on 'The Buggy'.
