Lovely autumnal morning ....

6th August 2025 (Wednesday)     11.30 .... If I had a schedule planned for today I am well behind

it;  I slept in.   Didn't get up till 08.50 (which is late for me);  but have nearly caught up with where I wanted to be at 08.00!    Anyway it's a lovely, fresh morning, with a nice autumnal air out of the Northwest at present.   The amended plan is to have a couple of lazy days.... just 'falling apart' and relaxing.   Might even get 'The Buggy' (maybe even the bike) out in the afternoon.   It's actually quite breezy (F3) just now, so there's a wee bit of wind chill; because of the wind direction.

14.30   Although breezy it's starting to feel hot. ... as I found out while pottering around on the patio.  I'm going to have a cuppa, then contemplate going 'roond the Ferry' on 'The Buggy'.  Havin' said that, I'll probably fall asleep havin' the cuppa!   Oh .... I made up the double bed so it hasn't been a complete 'lazy'.... er .... 'rest day'.

22.30    It was good chatting to Myra and David who dropped in, on their way home from walking the dog... and having an afternoon cuppa at 'The Pav'.   (I'd just taken 'The Buggy' out, ready to go out in the evening).   Anyway we caught up with all the local 'news' before they went off home and I went in to get dinner sorted.   It was one of my favourites .... sausages and mash.

The streets were quiet by the time I went out on the scooter.   I did my usual trip.... up the Ferry High Street, then along Links Road.   Feeling adventurous when I reached the phone box, I turned left and went up to Grange Road;  then turned round and took some photos on the way down.   I reckon Kinneuchar is well within the capabilities of 'The Buggy';  whether I'm 'brave' enough to face the challenge is something else.   Of course I'm 'brave'! ... er... 'ish'(at least) i.e.;  I'll do it once the main holiday season is over.

We're forecast to get light rain overnight (perfect tub weather) through to morning, then we're to have 'sunny intervals with

a fresh breeze'.   Could be a nice afternoon.   I'm going to have another 'lazy' day pottering.   I might go out on the scooter in the afternoon, if the weather is OK.

I've had a restful day, and feel better for it.   I might 'sleep in' again tomorrow morning.

6th October 2024 (Sunday)    "Happy Golden Wedding Anniversary"  to Brian and Moira". 09.00 .... Nice morning .....

4th January 2024 (Saturday)    09.15 .... The car windscreens is clear, the washing I left out Shona huggin' a huge Kilbrackmont tree! overnight is flapping about in the breeze, and my breathing easier.   The sky is mostly cloudy just now, but our weather forecast for today is "sunny intervals with a gentle breeze".    There's a Yellow Warning for snow active from midnight tonight through to midday on Monday;  though I imagine it will more likely be sleet, or rain,  for us.   'Sunny Sussex' and most of the South of England is covered by an Amber Warning for snow today, so most of the UK is likely to see snow at some point over the next few days. 20.00    Although not the best of drying days the washing was nearly dry by the end of the afternoon.   Earlier in the afternoon I'd gone to Methil to annoy Alice.  We had a cuppa before going shopping.  We went to Sainsbury's they have 'everything' and are trying ...

Quiet morning ....

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...
