Low cloud ....
20th August 2025 (Wednesday) 08.15 .... The Fife Weather cams are all showing an overcast
sky; the Lochgelly cam has some promising breaks in the cloud, but the wind is from the East so those breaks are never going to come our way. We are relying on the sun burning off the cloud.... which it should do soon. 'Sunny intervals with a moderate breeze' is the forecast for today. I'm feeling 'brighter eyed and bushier tailed' this morning; which is good because I have things to do before Iain arrives tomorrow.12.15 The sky is slowly brightening up, with big patches of blue sky to the West of us; Methil for instance! We'll have blue sky soon.
I forgot to tell you about the pillow case ironing! As usual I read a bit of my bedtime book, then put the light out at 23.45. I woke up at 01. 05, had a 'comfort break' and back to bed. I then woke up at 02;11 and had another 'comfort break'. Back to bed and slept until 03. 02. Went to the loo ... 'comfort break'! Sod this I said to 'me'; I got the ironing table out and ironed the pillowcases. Back in bed by 03.25 and slept through until 07.12. Moral of the story? .... don't iron stuff! Or... don't go to bed with ironing to do!
The the cloud is vanishing and and being replaced by blue sky; it could be hot in the afternoon. Mind you, there is a cool breeze off the sea, so it shouldn't be overly hot.
22.00 It has been a nice enough day; and Iain almost has a bed to sleep in. Although feeling brighter, I spent a lot of time dozing in the afternoon; and ended up with a migraine. So an early night with the book tonight: and there's no ironing to bother about so I will get a good night's sleep! As you can see from the bottom photograph 'Blob' has adopted The Buggy'. Although very realistic looking, it's not the real 'Blob, but a very lifelike sticker, that Karen, Alice's daughter found on Amazon. I have no doubt that the real 'Blob' will regard the scooter as a handy perch now and again! 'He' personalises The Buggy!
The 'plan for tomorrow?.... get organised for Iain arriving in the afternoon. That reminds me; I need to take mince out o' the freezer; I'm making mince and tautties for dinner tomorrow.
