Wall to wall blue sky .....

17th May 2025 (Saturday)     07.45 .... we have another lovely morrrrrrrning.... so 'we' (Royal

Burgh 'we') have a 'slight 'flap on' at the moment..... I'm having a cuppa before going out on the bike.

14.30    It was brilliant being out on the bike;  hardly and wind.... and it was warm.   I went to Chapel Green, where I stopped at Jim's seat then Maggie's (did some 'ooverin' when I got back to Ivy).  Chapel Green was quiet, I was the only one up there.   The golf course was beginning to get busy, the first group of players I saw were  on the 7th.   At that time the light breeze was from the SW and the air was comfortably warm.

As there was hardly any breeze I left Chapel Green and went up to the Pony Field.   It's usually breezy up there but it was calm, and warm, this morning.   Since then the breeze has freshened,  gone the the East, with a chilly feel to it.    That said it is still a lovely sunny day, but not as warm, out in the open, as it was earlier.... but I'm going to put up the parasol, and enjoy the sunshine.

20.15   Kirsty returned a Donna Leon book I'd given her to read, and I gave her back one of her own Ian Rankine books that Kirsty had given me to read.    There's a lot of reading done by 'The Team':  when we're not 'playing'.   We are going to the East Pier for lunch tomorrow;  I imagine that they will do fish n' chips.... but it has changed hands recently, so it could be 'posh' grub.  Anyway we'll find out tomorrow.   We sat in the glorious sunshine and chatted;  and I'm hungry.   I never got round to putting up the parasol so we Kirsty and I will have a touch of the sun.

Another nice day is forecast for tomorrow so I might go out early on the bike as I did this morning.   It will only be as far as Chapel Green because the bike battery is 'low'.
