Beautiful morrrrrrrning ....

1st May 2025 (Thursday)     09.15 .... I didn't wash my face in the morning dew;  but I topped up the

squirters on the car!    And I hung out a small washing:  it might, going by the look o' the sky, get an extra rinse later.

I've been for the paper, and visited the harbour:  it was absolutely stunning at the harbour, because it was so calm with the yachts reflected on the still water.   And there's an interesting sky... that probably means showers somewhere!   I'm going to have a cuppa, then get ready to pop along to Leven.

20.30    It has been another hot (20.8C) Spring day;  but there is a cooler feel to the air now, and, according to Sean it's going to feel much colder tomorrow.   That said it has been a lovely day, albeit 'close' (same 'mauchless but easier tae spell) in the middle of the day.

The trip to Methil and Leven went as planned;  Alice was waiting for a phone call so we had to amend the plan:  she  phoned and arranged for the call to come after 15.00.   We then went to Sainsbury's and did a quick 'shopping';  then back to Alice's for lunch and coffee.   As ever nowadays the roads were very  busy:  I don;' know if that's because this is a Bank Holiday weekend (Monday), but even the garage at Colinsburgh was busier than usual.

Back at Ivy I put the messages away, then fell asleep:   and slept for almost an hour.   That was at the hottest time of day.   In the end I decided that I'd have a 'rest afternoon';  and that is what it has been.

As yet there's nae 'plan' for tomorrow;  I'll see how the weather is before deciding what to do.   I'm

hoping it will be warm enough in the back garden to sit out under the parasol and read my book in the afternoon.   Whether I go out on the bike depends on how windy it is... and how cold.    The forecast is 'sunny intervals with a moderate WNW breeze'.
