Low cloud ....

13th May 2025 (Tuesday)    08.45 .... Today's weather is going to be a repeat of yesterdays;

early low cloud breaking up to give us a warm sunny day.   The cool Easterly breeze will be bothersome on the beach.   Funnily enough, it's warm just now.... but there is hardly and breeze, and the breeze might freshen later.   It's a quiet morning;  even the workmen at No 3 aren't using their hammers.

I have two young blackbirds moochin' at the back door;  Blob will have to share his McVities Digestive biscuits:  he will not be a happy boy!

19.15   This has been a busy day for ;The Boy'.   As intended I went up to Lorraine's to make an appointment to get my hair cut.  An appointment was made for 11.40.   As it was foggy I decided to go down to the harbour to see how it looked... and to get a few photos.   On the way up from the harbour I stopped at the Toft to take in the view, and get a few more photos.

My Italian friends.
While I was doing that two couples came up the brae.   We ended up sort of chatting!   I say 'sort of' because they were Italians and didn't understand English very well (maybe it was 'my' English that they didn't understand), and I don't speak Italian.   Anyway their English was definitely better than my Italian... (and probably my English).  Actually Maggie and I bought a DVD Italian language course with the intention of visiting Italy, but her nae weelness intervened, so we never visited Italy... and didn't get far with the Language Course.   It will still be somewhere in the 'library'.   Anyway, we managed to communicate reasonably well, with much laughing, and loads of happiness.   We took each others photographs and went our separate ways;  them to wander round the villages, and me to go home to have a 'morning coffee' before returning to Lorraine's for the haircut.

Back at Lorraine's I had my haircut (Aldershot style), and caught up with the local 'News'.   I was totally shocked to find out that Mabel had died suddenly 2 weeks ago.   Mabel was a lovely lady, much loved and respected, and will be sadly missed by us all.   My thoughts are with the Garland Family, and friends at this sad time.   I have photographs of Mabel and Lucy (her dog).  I must have a look to see if I can find them in the 'archive'.

22.30   I've enjoyed myself today, but I'm really tired tonight and I haven't really done very

much.  got the bike out, and raised the seat, but never went out on it, because it turned cold in the afternoon when the haar came in.   Tomorrow is going to be another sunny day, but will be cooler here on the East Coast.

I'm having my COVID booster done tomorrow at Anstruther.    I don't need any shopping but  I'll go to 'The Store'  (Co-op) and see how the shelves are looking when I'm in Anstruther anyway.
