14th October 2026 (Wednesday)     09.30 ....  It's a nice, fresh morning;  but cloud is moving in from the West and rain is mentioned in the weather forecast.   The washing we left out last night is drying, and should be dry long before the rain arrives.    John had come in, in after his morning walk with the camera;  hopefully with a batch of photographs for me to play with!    Me? .... I fed 'Blob'.   My next mission is to download the photies that 'JB' got this morning:  he has been out to the lighthouse. 14.30    The sun has broken through, so 'JB' is off to Chapel Green with the camera;  I'm going up to The Hutte to do a Soduko.   John got some bonnie photographs at sunrise time;  all the way from the beach out to the Lady's Tower and the lighthouse.    The light was excellent, and ever changing;  it always is, but  more noticeable at sunrise time. 13th October 2026 (Tuesday)     10.45 .... Rain, we had overnight, has cleared away to leave us with a bright and breezy morning;  and the chance of squally showers in the afternoon.    I began my morning with a migraine, which is a bit of a bummer; a migraine in the morning usually spoils the whole day.  However, I've taken the pills, and now ready to do things.... but I think this will mostly be a rest day for me.   'JB' is thinking of taking the camera out to the lighthouse for a change of scenery. 17.45    The weather has been.... er .... mixed id probably the best description!    Bright and breezy until the early afternoon;  then a squally shower came over and soaked everything... including the washing I'd hung out in the morning.    John decided to cancel going out with the camera after lunch because of the threatening clouds towards the NW.    He decided to go to 'The Store'  (Anstruthe...

12th October 2026 (Monday)     11.15 .... The sky is overcast, and a SE breeze,  and light rain  mentioned in the forecast.    It looks like the rain isn't far away!    John went out with the camera at sunrise time, to get today's photographs.    Me? .... 11th October 2026 (Sunday)      10.00 ....  We have sunny intervals with only a light SW breeze so a peaceful kind of morning in KY9;  and, with hardly any wind chill it's not as cold as it was yesterday.  I'm hoping for a crystal clear blue sky, but although there's a lot of blue it's not quite the blue I'm looking for!    Regarding World politics;  I've come to the conclusion  that everybody is out of step ... oops, I mean 'lockstep'... bar oor Donald! 17.15    'JB' and I wet ti Ainster as planned, and went down to the harbour to see what was going on down there.   It was really disappointing,  it was nose to rail with cars parked all along Shore Street.... in fact everywhere.   Tables, on the pavement outside the Waterfront, were all occupied.   The East Neuk is just like Cornwall ;  a beautiful place, overcrowded with cars and their occupants.   A busy place right enough, b...

9th October 2026 (Friday)     09.00 .... After a lot of overnight rain, we have a bright and breezy morning, with clouds scuttling over on the frisky, F4 - 5, wind   There's a lot of blue sky, with long sunny spells, but it's cold out in the open.   As a point of interest, the blue of the sky isn't the crystal clear blue we had yesterday.   The crystal clear blue sky doesn't happen very often. 8th October 2026 (Thursday)     09.30  .... We have a beautiful Autumn morning;  definitely of the 'out and about enjoying the fresh air' kind!    A few years ago I'd have been  out on the bike;  this morning I'll be out with the 'hurdy gurdy'!   I can't go far with it, but the air, and scenery, of Elie and Earlsferry is better than any pill!    Must go, 'slight flap on';  got fresh air to enjoy!  16.00    There has been an amazing 'light' today;   the crystal clear blue of the sky, reminded me of New Zealand.   New Zealand doesn't have the pollution that we have, so their sky is crystal clear most of the time!    New Zealand is, sort of, in the 'middle o' nae where'!   Except when it comes to earthquakes! 7th October 2026       3rd Anniversary of the October horrifying 7th attack on Israel.  (Wednesday)    10.00 .... We have a lovely morning in KY9;  near enough wall to wall blue sky with a chilly, NW breeze.    It's a brilliant morning for those doing the Coastal Path, or any kind of exercise.  Unfortunately I started the morning with a migraine;  I've taken the pills but, it means a lazy day for me.  I got a message on the phone, from Myra, to tell me that today is the Friendship Lunch at Elie, and that she would take me to the Lunch.    I fancied going, but the migraine puts to stop to that 'plan'..    Which is a pity because it's a day to be enjoyed.   Off to phone Myra.... and put the kettle 'on'. 20.00    It has been a bonnie Autumnal day, with a noticeable drop in temperature.    I thought about going out for a short walk in the afternoon, but I wasn't really in the mood:...

6th October 2026 (Tuesday)      09.30 .... It's cloudy but dry just now.   We had a few  spots o' rain when I was out at the gate;  at that time I thought it was Wednesday!   Then Marcia came up the road with her golf clubs;  that's when I discovered it was Tuesday!  Oh...I started my day by sleeping in!    Anyway I'm up and ready for action now.  After another cuppa I'll go for a walk;  might go to the seat at the 17th green.    I must go to Elie to hand in my prescription sometime, and make an appointment to have my haircut!    Actually I might do that first, and do the walk when I come back from Elie. 17.15   I went up to Elie as planned; handed in my prescription, and met and chatted to Lesley;  but Lorraine wasn't working today, so I didn't get the hair appointment.    I'll have a run up there tomorrow to see if she is working;  she might be on holiday....

It's a breezy, grey morning in KY9;   at least it's dry, and nice enough for going 'out and about'.    I'll have short walk after morning coffee;  the wind is actually quite frisky (F3) so I might stay around the house's;  it will be too blustery out in the open.   Work? ..... that will be making up 'JB's bed! 17.00   We have the the Gas people  working  in Williamsburgh;  actually there's only one hole, so not very interesting.   The workmen were there so I couldn't have a browse round the hole. 4th October 2026 (Sunday)     08.15 .... It's a nice morning, but the cloud is heavier than it was yesterday, with a light breeze.    By the look of the cloud just now, there's a low chance of a light shower;  but I'm feeling positive, and thinking sunny spells!    I'm hungry!  16.45    The 'sunny spells' I wanted never arrived, so it has been a dull, but at least dry, day.  Not the bonniest of days, but my trip to Methil and Leven went perfectly!   Cuppa with Alice, then shopping in Sainsbury's.   As always the roads were busy;  but the shop was reasonably quiet. 3rd October 2026 (Saturday)     10.30 .... There's a layer of cloud just now, so there's a chilly feel to the air this morning..   The sun should burn off the cloud, to give us a nice, sunny intervals, and warmer, Autumn day.    I'm going to have a a quiet day, doing little jobs around Ivy.    I'll have a walk up to the golf course,  once the  sun breaks through:  after morning coffee.  Blob was twittering happily from the top of the Lilac tree.    He's looking for a snack. 11.30    There's an Autumnal feel to the air this morning;  12.5 on the garden thermometer;  and, even the Hutte isn't warm enough to sit in.    The clouds keep obscuring the sun, so we haven't had a decent spell of sunshine, to warm up the air.   I'm going to have a late morning coffee;  and I might go for walk after that.... if it's warmer. 19.30    I ended up going for a short walk, t...

2nd October 2026 (Friday)     09.00 ....   We have a bonnie morning in KY9, sunny intervals with a moderate breeze (SW):  however rain is forecast to move in late in the afternoon, and evening.   I'll go for a short walk after morning coffee;  after I find out what's happening with the car.   I'm feeling frolicsome, which is a bummer, because I can't actually frolic nowadays!     Anyway I'm happy, now that I can get out with the 'hurdy gurdy':  and I'll be even happier when I get the lightweight one! 13.30    The car is through it's MOT, and Myra kindly took me along to Mercury to get the car:  so all is good on Ferry Toad again!    Back at Ivy I had another morning coffee then went up to the golf course to get a few action shots of any golfers that were around.    The course was busy;  then I remembered that the girls play on a Friday.   Anyway I got a dew photo...

1st October 2026 (Thursday)     09.25 .... It's a morning for doing a bit of the Coastal Path;  or, in my case going for a short walk with the 'hurdy gurdy'.    When I get the new , lightweight, 'hurdy gurdy' (hereafter Rollator) I shall try longer walks.  Anyway, we have a gorgeous morning, and I have things to do.  Starting with an early morning coffee! 19.30    This has been a beautiful Autumn day;  it felt and looked like a summer's day!   I had a walk to the beach, and plonked myself down on one of the seats  and enjoyed a relaxing few minutes chatting to Neil.   I then wandered along to John's and Jenny's seat and had another relaxing few minutes taking photographs, and enjoying our scenery.   I then walked up Cross Wynd to the High Street, took a few more photies, then ambled home;  and put the kettle 'on'. Iain phoned to day that he has hurt his back, so can't come down this weekend....

30th September 2026 (Wednesday)     07.00 .... we have an overcast sky, with light rain at the moment;  but sunny spells are forecast for KY9 by morning coffee time.   It's a nice morning to take the car for it's MOT.    Right now I'm hungry;  ready for breakfast.... and morning coffee. 12.00     The car is in the garage for it's MOT.    Myra picked me up as planned and I was back home  by 09.30.    I've been looking forward to catching up with the 'ousework, so not having the car isn't going bother me too much.    The sunny spells have been slow to arrive, but I see the sky brightening now so we should have a brighter and dry afternoon.    At the moment we have light rain!    I think I'll have an early 'lite bite' lunch;  and, hopefully, after lunch,  the sun will have broken through so that I can go for a short walk.   Then more housework. 21.00...

29th September 2026 (Tuesday)     09.00 ....  It's a nice morning, but there's a change of wind direction with a cool breeze from the SE.    A nice morning for doing the Coastal Path.    I'm going Methil and Leven;  via Elie, to pick up a prescription.    A new inhaler to replace the 'Blue' one. 19.30     This has been a busy day.    I went to Methil, via Elie (Chemist), then  Colinsburgh to fuel up the car, and on  to Methil to annoy Alice, before going to Sainsbury's.   We had a successful shopping mission!    I hope the voters in the USA come to their sensed at the mid term elections;  the World can't take much more of this President of the United States!    That moan was brought on by the price of fuel;  it cost me £42 this morning, and I only use the car now and again.    No runs to Crail or anything like that now!  The World is holding ...

28th September 2026 (Monday)     We have a lovely, 'bright and breezy' morning here in KY9;  almost 'wall to wall' blue sky actually.    I'll have a short walk, after an early morning coffee, then go up to Elie to pick up a prescription.   I meant to so that on Saturday but got diverted! 11.45    I haven't been for my walk yet;  but the Buggy has been brought out of it's nest, and the battery put on charge.   That will take about 4 hours so I don't think I'll go out on it, 'The Buggy', today.   Hauling it out of it's nest is heavy work;  that will be today's 'work'! I'll go for my short walk after a late morning coffee.   The air is chillier than I expected;  but that will be because of the cloud. My short walk ended up at Nana's Seat;  but, my word sitting on Nana's Seat is not very comfortable, owning to the sand building up.    Mind you, it would be fine for having a catnap!...

27th September 2026  (Sunday)       10.45 .... The sky is heavily overcast;  and, when I was out at  the bin, the first spits and spots of rain mentioned in today's weather forecast arrived.   I think it's to be with us 'on and off' for most of the day.   It's not going to bother me, as I have 'inside work' planned for today.     I didn't go out for my walk:  'Laura'  (Kuenssberg), questioning Prime Minister Andy Burnham on the BBC News Channel, was really interesting.   'Andy' had a lot of good ideas for the  country, but the thorny problems;  the rising cost of Welfare (he'd do well to check to find out if the woman from East Sussex, filmed holidaying in Mexico while on benefits, could be the tip of a very large iceberg),  and illegal immigration, will have to be solved by the next General Election.    It will be interesting to see what his plan for the country is, in his...

26th September 2026 (Saturday)     09.30 .... We have a lovely Autumnal morning here at KY9; a perfect morning for being 'out and about'.    Me? .... I slept in, so haven't been for the early morning short walk I planned on having:  anyway this is a 'rest day' after the last few 'working' days.    Should I have an early morning coffee? .... yes I think I should!    And come up with an 'action plan' for the day.    16.30    Although breezy, it has been a lovely sunny day, and warm sheltered from the breeze.    As you can see from today's photographs I was slightly more adventurous with my short walk;  I eventually reached the Thistle Clubhouse, via Ferry Corner, to Rotten Row at The Old Diary.   The weather forecast isn't great for Sunday, so I took a wheen o' photies:  tomorrow's photies, if I can't get out because of the weather, have been taken today!
