Overcast and damp ....
31st May 2025 (Saturday) 08.30 .... it's dull and damp (light rain) at the moment, but sunny
intervals are forecast so it should brighten up soon; with the chance of showers so I don't have to worry about the tubs needin' wattered. The furthest I have been this morning is the gate, but I'll go up to the golf course once the sunny intervals arrive.14.30 I've been a busy boy: but enjoyably 'busy' nane o' that 'work' stuff. I was browsing the visible world from the gate, when I saw a group of golfers crossing the road that included Chris and Barbara. I thought (something I'm not guilty of) "if I get the bike oot I could a few photos at the fifth green and sixth tee". I promptly forgot about the mug o' coffee I'd just made; got the bike out, grabbed the camera (and a banana), and eventually got myself on the move. The bike battery only had two bars showing, so I certainly wasn't going further than Chapel Green, which comes after the 6th tee. I arrived there in time to see a Group, that I thought was the Chris and Barbara group, going up the hill towards the sixth green. I took some photographs, then had look at the group coming up the fifth fairway.... this was the Chris and Barbara group. I spent 10 minutes on Euan's seat, at the sixth tee, taking golfing shots of the Chris and Barbara group .... and the one following.
On leaving the sixth tee I went up to Chapel Green to see what was happening on the water, and was rewarded with some shots of the Elie skiff being 'powered' toward the Beacon. I took a variety of 'village' shots, ate the banana, then bumbled my way back to Ivy..... and a cauld mug o' coffee. (It tastes much the same after 50 seconds in the microwave).
Since all that activity (including downloading the photos) the bike battery has been charged.... so I will be able to go for a longer distance tomorrow morning.... and I've had lunch. Actually it was just a sandwich lunch so I'm hungry. (I'm having one of my 'own brand' Cottage Pies for dinner). Right now I need something to fill an empty space. And a fresh cuppa.
21.45 It has been a lovely, sunny day; and it ended perfectly with a nice heavy shower o' rain to
water the tubs. I'm a happy bunny. And .... there's the chance of light rain showers tomorrow; there is a "God" for flower tub waterers! I might go out on the bike early and get a paper; I'll see how the weather is.
