Sunny and warm ....

11th May 2025 (Sunday)    08.30   This is the best morning so far;  it's sunny with only a light

breeze, and it's already warm (14.5C).   The bike is out, ready to go to Chapel Green after I have a cuppa.   It's low tide, so we have a huge beach just now;  high tide is at 15.00 ....it will be a smaller, but busier, beach  in the afternoon.

11.00    This is one of the best (if not the best) days we had so far this year;  it was warm when I went up to Chapel Green this morning, and could be hot in the afternoon.     Mind you, the wind will freshen a bit,  and there will be a cool breeze coming off the North Sea.

It was great being out on the bike again;  in fact I felt like going for a longer run, but common sense prevailed (unusual).   The Yoga 'troops' were at Chapel Green, and there was a single yacht on the watter:  it looked like it was making for Port Edgar. (Forth Bridges).   It's a day for doing things.

18.45    The wind did freshen a 'wee bit' in the afternoon;   I realised just how much it had freshened when the parasol took off, and ended up at the bottom of the patio.  I had been reading my book when it happened.   I put the parasol in the shed and continued reading but the wind was a nuisance, so I gave that up r and and contemplated doing some gardening stuff.  Luckily I remembered 'work' was not part of today's plan, so I relaxed and  watched the blackbird feeding the first of this season's offspring.

Deciding that the wind was fresher than expected, I went to the gate and had a look at the water (I can see the Bass Rock from the gate).   I saw 'white tops';  this meant the wind strength was F4 - 5  (out in the bay).  So it was a frisky old breeze.... and it would be cold on the beach.  I made myself an 'afternoon coffee' and had that outside.... with a bit of Victoria Sponge.

It's still windy so I won't be going out on the bike again today.   I had thought about it.   When I

think about it the best of the day was in the early morning, before the wind freshened.   It was actually warm up at Chapel Green... and on the seat at the 6th Tee.  The golf course was busy for that time of day.

22.00    I've been watering the tubs, and I can tell you the Easterly wind, although it has moderated is still chilly.   I don't think I'll be biking early tomorrow morning.
