Wall to wall blue sky ........

16th May 2025 (Friday)     08.15 .... We have another, beautiful sunny morning;  there is a light,

cool breeze from NE;  which will freshen later and feel chillier, but it won't spoil another lovely day.  I'm feeling frisky this morning and might get the bike out in the afternoon; but that depends on how the breeze develops.  I've had breakfast, now I need an 'early morning coffee'.

17.45    I've been busy today.   While having my 'early morning' coffee I decided that I'd go to 'The Store' in Ainster and do a weekend shopping.  Then I remembered that they were having serious problems after being cyber attacked.   They expect to be nearly back to normal after this weekend;  but I decided to go to Leven because I know the shelves will have everything I want.   You will be impressed with today's shopping:  I bought proper hot weather food!.... a 2 litre tub of Ice Cream (Mackies) and a packet of ice cream Cones.   Bring on the hot weather.   And I bought salad stuff as well.

We're lucky with the haar just now:  the slight change of wind direction, from East to Northeast, means the cloud hanging about on the North Sea is being blown down to the East Coast of England.   That said, Crail could be unlucky .... it all depends on the direction of the wind.

22.30    I'm thinking that the COVID the other day has had few if any side effects.    That said it's usually the third day that I feel under the weather.  I did some pottering in the garden this afternoon and might even do some more tomorrow.
The 'plan' is to get up early and go out on the bike before the streets are busy;  that's if we have another wall to wall blue sky tomorrow morning.   The breeze is at it's lightest then... and the air has been warm at that time.

6th October 2024 (Sunday)    "Happy Golden Wedding Anniversary"  to Brian and Moira". 09.00 .... Nice morning ....

16th August 2024 (Friday)  08.30 ...It's a lovely morning but a layer of thin cloud is taking the Jackie. edge off the temperature so we have a chilly start to the day;  hopefully the sun will burn off the cloud to give us a sunny and warm(er) day soon.    The Auchnagatt 'troops' are expected to arrive about 10.30:  and I am organised .... and looking forward to seeing Jackie, Hazel, Catriona and Iain in one photograph.... a rare occurrence nowadays!  20.30 .... I got the photograph that I wanted... all four (soon to be five) of the Lawrie Family of 'Backhill of Inkhorn' (Auchnagatt) in one place!   It has been a most enjoyable day.  We had lunch at the very popular Cupar Garden Centre Restaurant (it was busy) followed by a browse round the garden centre:  the 'troops' did proper browsing:  I had quick browse followed by a catnap in the car.   The middle of the afternoon is my siesta time; and especially so after a good l...

Nice morning .....

4th January 2024 (Saturday)    09.15 .... The car windscreens is clear, the washing I left out Shona huggin' a huge Kilbrackmont tree! overnight is flapping about in the breeze, and my breathing easier.   The sky is mostly cloudy just now, but our weather forecast for today is "sunny intervals with a gentle breeze".    There's a Yellow Warning for snow active from midnight tonight through to midday on Monday;  though I imagine it will more likely be sleet, or rain,  for us.   'Sunny Sussex' and most of the South of England is covered by an Amber Warning for snow today, so most of the UK is likely to see snow at some point over the next few days. 20.00    Although not the best of drying days the washing was nearly dry by the end of the afternoon.   Earlier in the afternoon I'd gone to Methil to annoy Alice.  We had a cuppa before going shopping.  We went to Sainsbury's they have 'everything' and are trying ...
