Sunny with a fresh breeze....

27th May 2025 (Tuesday)      08.15 ....After the overnight rain we have a really nice, fresh start to

the day;  sunny, with a moderate Westerly breeze,  and a near enough 'wall to wall' blue sky.... though, I have no doubt that clouds will meander across from the West.   There's the chance of showers in the early afternoon.

Me? .... I'm feeling almost 'bright eyed and bushy tailed'  and might get the bike out in the afternoon .... if the wind quietens down a bit.   I'm visiting Alice in the morning, and having lunch at the Wellesley Kirk Community Centre with Alice's grandson Lucas, so 'slight flap on'!   Right now I need another cuppa.

19.00   It's a lovely day, albeit breezy, and warm considering the fresh wind.    I enjoyed my time in Methil with Alice and Lucas.  Lunch at the Community Centre was excellent,  but it was really quiet.   Tuesday is a change of day for us;  we normally go on a Thursday, after we do the shopping, when the pre-school 'Maws'. and some of the 'Paws', have lunch with the wee 'troops'.     Not having seen Lucas for some time, the first thing I noticed was that he had lost weight;  or grown six inches!   Lucas works at the Caledonion Hotel in Leven.

I know I keep 'moaning' about the traffic;  now I'm wondering if there has been a general increase in traffic, over the whole of the UK:  not just the roads I travel on.    Hey;  I'm likin' moanin'!  I read somewhere that elderly people are expected to 'moan':  and I can understand that.   It's a good way to get rid of stress.   I'm elderly!

21.30   I went out for short walk, intending to go to Nana's Seat, but there's a chilly air so I only got as far as the Ferry Corner.   It was a short walk right enough;  about 200 metres in total.  
Tomorrows weather is going to be much the same as today's;  "sunny intervals with a moderate Westerly breeze', and slightly warmer.... and there's the chance of showers in the afternoon.  The patio thermometer got up to 19.8 this afternoon, but the wind was annoying: but not annoying enough to stop me having afternoon coffee outside;  but I was wearing a body warmer.  
I have no plan for tomorrow as yet.    I'll get up early to see how the weather is;  it's quite often the quietest time of day, with hardly any breeze.

6th October 2024 (Sunday)    "Happy Golden Wedding Anniversary"  to Brian and Moira". 09.00 .... Nice morning ....

16th August 2024 (Friday)  08.30 ...It's a lovely morning but a layer of thin cloud is taking the Jackie. edge off the temperature so we have a chilly start to the day;  hopefully the sun will burn off the cloud to give us a sunny and warm(er) day soon.    The Auchnagatt 'troops' are expected to arrive about 10.30:  and I am organised .... and looking forward to seeing Jackie, Hazel, Catriona and Iain in one photograph.... a rare occurrence nowadays!  20.30 .... I got the photograph that I wanted... all four (soon to be five) of the Lawrie Family of 'Backhill of Inkhorn' (Auchnagatt) in one place!   It has been a most enjoyable day.  We had lunch at the very popular Cupar Garden Centre Restaurant (it was busy) followed by a browse round the garden centre:  the 'troops' did proper browsing:  I had quick browse followed by a catnap in the car.   The middle of the afternoon is my siesta time; and especially so after a good l...

Nice morning .....

4th January 2024 (Saturday)    09.15 .... The car windscreens is clear, the washing I left out Shona huggin' a huge Kilbrackmont tree! overnight is flapping about in the breeze, and my breathing easier.   The sky is mostly cloudy just now, but our weather forecast for today is "sunny intervals with a gentle breeze".    There's a Yellow Warning for snow active from midnight tonight through to midday on Monday;  though I imagine it will more likely be sleet, or rain,  for us.   'Sunny Sussex' and most of the South of England is covered by an Amber Warning for snow today, so most of the UK is likely to see snow at some point over the next few days. 20.00    Although not the best of drying days the washing was nearly dry by the end of the afternoon.   Earlier in the afternoon I'd gone to Methil to annoy Alice.  We had a cuppa before going shopping.  We went to Sainsbury's they have 'everything' and are trying ...
