Lovely morning ....
23rd May 2025 (Friday) 08.30 .... The early morning cloud is rapidly being burnt back, and we
should have a lovely sunny (and warm) day by morning coffee time: I'm have morning coffee at 09.00! I haven't been further than the pavement so far. I might try to go to the beach, as the air is breathable .... with the pollution level being 'Low' just now. I imagine the traffic will build up in the afternoon. Must 'go' .... 'slight flap on'; got to have early morning coffee!16.45 I had a walk up to the golf course in the middle of the day; as you can see from the photographs the course is in need of rain. This Spring has been a dry one so far, but that's due to break tonight with much needed rain coming in. That reminds me. Which clever boy watered patio flower tubs about half an hour ago? This clever 'boy'. You wonder why?.... in case I got wet doing it in the rain. As I've said before; it's hard work bein' 'me'! At least I won't have to water them tomorrow.
It was really nice when I was up at the golf course: hardly any breeze so it was reasonably warm. Since then the wind has freshened and it's quite chilly out in the open. Actually there has been a chill in the air all day, which why I hirpled up to the golf course, instead of going out on the bike. The course was quiet, but it was lunchtime.
20.00 The Western sky is starting to look threatening; with the rain due to arrive in the next few hours. The heaviest rain will be during the night.
I've had a reasonably active day doing things around the house; and conversing with 'Blob'. He's good listener, but I'm glad 'Blob' doesn't speak!
I've just been talking to Michael and Janice (Uckfield). Janice has been in hospital for a few days aftercollapsing at home. Luckily Michael my son) was able to give her CPR and get her breathing again, while Michael (Janice's son) phoned the Emergency Services. I was actually talking to Janice on the phone and, thankfully, she sounded good, and gets home tomorrow. I'm going to make myself a cuppa!
22.30 I calmed down after the above mentioned cuppa; and my bedtime Horlicks. The rain arrived on schedule and I won't have to water the tubs tomorrow! And the golf course should look greener in a day or two!
