Overcast ....

12th October 2026 (Monday)     11.15 .... The sky is overcast, and a SE breeze,  and light rain mentioned in the forecast.    It looks like the rain isn't far away!    John went out with the camera at sunrise time, to get today's photographs.    Me? .... I slept in;  I didn't even hear John going out.    The remainder of the day is going to be a 'rest day'.   We're watching 'The Man who would be King' on BBC i Player (it's on 'Hold' just now);  that's the kind of day we're going to have.   Must 'go' slight Flap On';  need to put the kettle 'on'. 

17.00    Apart from a light shower in the middle of the day, the weather has has been dry, but dull.    Not the bonniest kind of day for going out with the camera;  but that didn't stop us.    The Top photograph was one of the sunrise time photies that 'JB' got this morning.   He also got some birds that I have still to 'play' with.
Because the weather was a bit 'iffy' we decided to go for a run in the car;  and ended up going to Crail, then almost St Andrews, but not quite ;because we took the Dunino road, the cross country to Higham Toll and home via Kinneuchar.   I enjoyed the run because I haven't been on the Coast road to St Andrews for a couple of years.

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Dreich ....

1st November 2019 (Friday)       07.00 .... Mmmmm ... it’s cauld and wet Mmmmm .... not the perfect weather for the beach. as per weather forecast;   a real dreich morning.      I am feeling considerably brighter than the weather and looking forward to morning coffee in ‘arbour ‘ouse..... then spending the rest of the day mostly working on the computer, and doing Soduko’s.    I might bake Melting Moments..... baking and sampling 'MM's is always a cheering occupation on a dreich day. 09.00    The sky to the West is showing promising changes in greyness;   could we be in for a few bright spells?    “Light rain showers and a gentle breeze” is the forecast for today.... but a bright spell would be very welcome.    I haven’t been anywhere further than the pavement when manoeuvring the bucket into its ‘ready for emptying’ position.   I’ll have another cuppa then ‘loup’ into the car an...

Bright and breezy ....

12th June 2026 (Friday)     09.30 ..... It's a lovely morning... and a good drying day!     Michael and Janice will be getting ready to go to Uckfield Station.   Me? .... I had the best night's unbroken sleep in years last night:  I put the light out at 22.45 and woke up at 06.45!     And I had a long hot shower so I'm feeling rested, and  'playful'  this morning.    That said I have the car to 'worry' about;  however the garage will take care of that, and I should get it back in plenty of time to go for Janice and Michael.  Unfortunately I couldn't do the shopping I wanted to do!    That will have to be done tomorrow.     10.00    Apart from putting the downie inside it's cover, Michael and Janice have a bed to fall into tonight!   I'm going to celebrate that by having morning coffee! 11.30     The car is back at the gate.    I...
