Bright and breezy ....

10th October 2026 (Saturday)     09.15 .... 'Flap on', 'kettle on';    'JB' is on the X61 from
Edinburgh arriving in Elie about 10.30!    I'm near enough organised, having done some ooverin', but no dustin' , before I went to bed last night.     I'll loup intae the car, and be up at Elie just after 10.00' , with the camera.   Ye Gods;   I wondered what the noise was;  it was a low flying helicopter!    Off to have the cuppa , the kettle will have boiled by now!    We have have a lovely morning, though cold out in the open.  I haven't been out, but the folk I've seen going up, and down Ferry Road, are all wearing warm jackets!

15.45   I was all organised to go for 'JB', sitting having a relaxing cuppa when I heard someone at the front door!    It was John!   The London bus had arrived in Edinburgh nearly an hour early, so he caught  an earlier bus for Elie... arriving in Elie at 09.30 instead of 10,30.   I put the kettle 'on'. 

After John had breakfast, and another cuppa, we went to Sainsbury's to do a 'veggie' shopping.   We even bought a funny kind of veggie cheese.   It was a 'different' kind of shopping;  but I enjoyed it.    And some of the usual  goodies ended up in the trolley!  Accidentally!

17.45   'JB' had a rest after lunch, while I updated The Hutte.   When 'JB' woke up we both watched some TV,  Since then John has been hooverin',, while I fell asleep.    Now we're ready for dinner.   We're going to have different dinners, because I have chicken ghat I want to finish off, and John is making a veggie soup.   

I didn't realise that the new Hoover was so versatile ;  I've just been using it for the floor;  the tools get into all the corners.   I'll try using them now that I know what they can so.

As you can see today's Middle and Bottom  photographs are taken, from the car on our shopping trip to Leven.  At that time the  the light was excellent.  The Top one was taken was taken on Thursday.  
Although today's sky not  as good as it was the other day (Thursday);  the photos, even from the car, turned out better that usual.  
22.30     The plan for tomorrow is to go to Anstruther  (The Store) where I shall extract some money from the hole in the wall.    I can't use the Elie one because it's too high for me now, and the screen is at the screen is at the wrong angle.

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Dreich ....

1st November 2019 (Friday)       07.00 .... Mmmmm ... it’s cauld and wet Mmmmm .... not the perfect weather for the beach. as per weather forecast;   a real dreich morning.      I am feeling considerably brighter than the weather and looking forward to morning coffee in ‘arbour ‘ouse..... then spending the rest of the day mostly working on the computer, and doing Soduko’s.    I might bake Melting Moments..... baking and sampling 'MM's is always a cheering occupation on a dreich day. 09.00    The sky to the West is showing promising changes in greyness;   could we be in for a few bright spells?    “Light rain showers and a gentle breeze” is the forecast for today.... but a bright spell would be very welcome.    I haven’t been anywhere further than the pavement when manoeuvring the bucket into its ‘ready for emptying’ position.   I’ll have another cuppa then ‘loup’ into the car an...

Bright and breezy ....

12th June 2026 (Friday)     09.30 ..... It's a lovely morning... and a good drying day!     Michael and Janice will be getting ready to go to Uckfield Station.   Me? .... I had the best night's unbroken sleep in years last night:  I put the light out at 22.45 and woke up at 06.45!     And I had a long hot shower so I'm feeling rested, and  'playful'  this morning.    That said I have the car to 'worry' about;  however the garage will take care of that, and I should get it back in plenty of time to go for Janice and Michael.  Unfortunately I couldn't do the shopping I wanted to do!    That will have to be done tomorrow.     10.00    Apart from putting the downie inside it's cover, Michael and Janice have a bed to fall into tonight!   I'm going to celebrate that by having morning coffee! 11.30     The car is back at the gate.    I...
