Bright and breezy ....

9th October 2026 (Friday)     09.00 .... After a lot of overnight rain, we have a bright and breezy
morning, with clouds scuttling over on the frisky, F4 - 5, wind   There's a lot of blue sky, with long sunny spells, but it's cold out in the open.   As a point of interest, the blue of the sky isn't the crystal clear blue we had yesterday.   The crystal clear blue sky doesn't happen very often.

Plan for today?.... get myself organised for 'JB' arriving tomorrow.   I thought my legs and hips would be stiffer than they are;  the hot shower helped!    I'm going to have an early morning coffee before 'work'.

16.30    I've been a busy boy today;  and that's good news for 'JB'!.    He has a bed to flop into!.... all JB has to do is put the cover on the downie.   Actually I'm impressed with how I've done today, because I had a migraine in the middle of the day.    It must be the changeable weather that has brought on the migraines.    I rook the pills, and went up to The Hutte to so a Soduko;  and fell asleep.   And woke up feeling bright eyed and bushy tailed.   Well .... almost bright eyed and bushy tailed. 

When I went into Ivy to make a cuppa, I discovered that the postie had been!   The mail he's delivered didn't cheer me up;  an income tax demand.    Not only did I, and all pensioners pay for our Pension, we also paid income tax.    However I suppose it's going to a good cause (and I don't  have choice);  might as well keep doing my bit for the country .... as I, (and all pensioners have done), all our lives.

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Dreich ....

1st November 2019 (Friday)       07.00 .... Mmmmm ... it’s cauld and wet Mmmmm .... not the perfect weather for the beach. as per weather forecast;   a real dreich morning.      I am feeling considerably brighter than the weather and looking forward to morning coffee in ‘arbour ‘ouse..... then spending the rest of the day mostly working on the computer, and doing Soduko’s.    I might bake Melting Moments..... baking and sampling 'MM's is always a cheering occupation on a dreich day. 09.00    The sky to the West is showing promising changes in greyness;   could we be in for a few bright spells?    “Light rain showers and a gentle breeze” is the forecast for today.... but a bright spell would be very welcome.    I haven’t been anywhere further than the pavement when manoeuvring the bucket into its ‘ready for emptying’ position.   I’ll have another cuppa then ‘loup’ into the car an...

Bright and breezy ....

12th June 2026 (Friday)     09.30 ..... It's a lovely morning... and a good drying day!     Michael and Janice will be getting ready to go to Uckfield Station.   Me? .... I had the best night's unbroken sleep in years last night:  I put the light out at 22.45 and woke up at 06.45!     And I had a long hot shower so I'm feeling rested, and  'playful'  this morning.    That said I have the car to 'worry' about;  however the garage will take care of that, and I should get it back in plenty of time to go for Janice and Michael.  Unfortunately I couldn't do the shopping I wanted to do!    That will have to be done tomorrow.     10.00    Apart from putting the downie inside it's cover, Michael and Janice have a bed to fall into tonight!   I'm going to celebrate that by having morning coffee! 11.30     The car is back at the gate.    I...
