Cloudy ....

4th October 2026 (Sunday)     08.15 .... It's a nice morning, but the cloud is heavier than it was
yesterday, with a light breeze.    By the look of the cloud just now, there's a low chance of a light shower;  but I'm feeling positive, and thinking sunny spells!    I'm hungry! 

16.45    The 'sunny spells' I wanted never arrived, so it has been a dull, but at least dry, day.  Not the bonniest of days, but my trip to Methil and Leven went perfectly!   Cuppa with Alice, then shopping in Sainsbury's.   As always the roads were busy;  but the shop was reasonably quiet.

Back at Alice';s we had  lovely Chicken in a wine sauce,lunch, with trimmings done in the crock pot.   I don'r have to worry about needing a big dinner!     Lorraine, came round with some tablet, which she knows I like;  so I am a happy boy, in spite of the grey weather.

After a cup of coffee with Alice, I set of for home;  and was back in Ivy by 14.10.   I had a cuppa before going out with the camera to get a few photies for the 'blog'.   I only went as far as the phone box;  there was a frisky wind as soon as I left the shelter of the house's.

The sky brightened a bit, and I thought we had a ';sunny spell' coming over;  but it's a light shower o' rain!   It's the nearest we've had to a sunny spell  today.

 20.00   I had a surprise visit from Heather and Alistair this evening:  they here to discuss things with the builders working on Beaufort Cottage.    The cottage has been 'gutted' and is ready for the next stage.   It's all go at Beaufort Cottage.    I'm going up to take a few photographs  for the Owlbert Archive, sometime this week. 

The weather has been disappointing today.    It's to be much the same tomorrow;  but, with a higher chance
of sunny spells in the afternoon.   

I've enjoyed myself today, but have done more 'work' than intended.   Luckily I have no plan for tomorrow;  so don'tb have to get up early.

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Dreich ....

1st November 2019 (Friday)       07.00 .... Mmmmm ... it’s cauld and wet Mmmmm .... not the perfect weather for the beach. as per weather forecast;   a real dreich morning.      I am feeling considerably brighter than the weather and looking forward to morning coffee in ‘arbour ‘ouse..... then spending the rest of the day mostly working on the computer, and doing Soduko’s.    I might bake Melting Moments..... baking and sampling 'MM's is always a cheering occupation on a dreich day. 09.00    The sky to the West is showing promising changes in greyness;   could we be in for a few bright spells?    “Light rain showers and a gentle breeze” is the forecast for today.... but a bright spell would be very welcome.    I haven’t been anywhere further than the pavement when manoeuvring the bucket into its ‘ready for emptying’ position.   I’ll have another cuppa then ‘loup’ into the car an...

Bright and breezy ....

12th June 2026 (Friday)     09.30 ..... It's a lovely morning... and a good drying day!     Michael and Janice will be getting ready to go to Uckfield Station.   Me? .... I had the best night's unbroken sleep in years last night:  I put the light out at 22.45 and woke up at 06.45!     And I had a long hot shower so I'm feeling rested, and  'playful'  this morning.    That said I have the car to 'worry' about;  however the garage will take care of that, and I should get it back in plenty of time to go for Janice and Michael.  Unfortunately I couldn't do the shopping I wanted to do!    That will have to be done tomorrow.     10.00    Apart from putting the downie inside it's cover, Michael and Janice have a bed to fall into tonight!   I'm going to celebrate that by having morning coffee! 11.30     The car is back at the gate.    I...
