Cloudy with occasional sunny spells .....

15th October 2026 (Thursday)  16.00 .... I thought I wrote, and updated The Hutte before John and
I  set off for Cupar;  but obviously I didn't.   Sorry about that.    Anyway;  the rain that was forecast for last night and into this morning had passed over before 08.00 so we had a pleasant journey to Fisher and Donaldson's.   here was some water on the roads but not what we expected.   We didn't take long to do the shopping, and came home by way of  Ceres.    We immediately had a cuppa to celebrate a successful mission.

After lunch John went to the harbour with the camera;  and I did a Soduko in The Hutte.   In fact John has just come in, so I'll download the  harbour photographs.

20.00    Maybe it's just me;  but I think it turned colder in the afternoon, more like Autumn actually.   'JB' got some bonnie photographs at the harbour (and it was cold down there too;  as it always is), which gives me something to do this evening.

We have 'Traitors' at 20.00 so this is s quick update before then.    The village looks like being busy';  this is probably 'half term' school holidays  somewhere,  and that usually means a busy couple of weeks ahead.   

22.00     We ('JB' and I) have been busy today, and will be tomorrow:  Friday will be John's last whole day in the Royal Burgh for this holiday;  he is going home to Sunny Sussex,  on Saturday.    It will be warmer in Sunny Sussex  but the colder air is moving South.   

John is going out early with the camera in the morning;   I think he's doing West Bay, then up to the top of the cliffs;  so I should have some interesting photies,  up to date , Kincraig cliff ones;  to play with tomorrow evening.    

When John gets back from his walk I want to go out for lunch somewhere.    We usually to The Ship, but
I imagine it will be busy tomorrow.  

"Sunny intervals, with a moderate Westerly breeze" is the weather forecast for tomorrow:  a good day to be out with the camera!

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Dreich ....

1st November 2019 (Friday)       07.00 .... Mmmmm ... it’s cauld and wet Mmmmm .... not the perfect weather for the beach. as per weather forecast;   a real dreich morning.      I am feeling considerably brighter than the weather and looking forward to morning coffee in ‘arbour ‘ouse..... then spending the rest of the day mostly working on the computer, and doing Soduko’s.    I might bake Melting Moments..... baking and sampling 'MM's is always a cheering occupation on a dreich day. 09.00    The sky to the West is showing promising changes in greyness;   could we be in for a few bright spells?    “Light rain showers and a gentle breeze” is the forecast for today.... but a bright spell would be very welcome.    I haven’t been anywhere further than the pavement when manoeuvring the bucket into its ‘ready for emptying’ position.   I’ll have another cuppa then ‘loup’ into the car an...

Bright and breezy ....

12th June 2026 (Friday)     09.30 ..... It's a lovely morning... and a good drying day!     Michael and Janice will be getting ready to go to Uckfield Station.   Me? .... I had the best night's unbroken sleep in years last night:  I put the light out at 22.45 and woke up at 06.45!     And I had a long hot shower so I'm feeling rested, and  'playful'  this morning.    That said I have the car to 'worry' about;  however the garage will take care of that, and I should get it back in plenty of time to go for Janice and Michael.  Unfortunately I couldn't do the shopping I wanted to do!    That will have to be done tomorrow.     10.00    Apart from putting the downie inside it's cover, Michael and Janice have a bed to fall into tonight!   I'm going to celebrate that by having morning coffee! 11.30     The car is back at the gate.    I...
