Light cloud ....

6th October 2026 (Tuesday)      09.30 .... It's cloudy but dry just now.   We had a few  spots o' rain
when I was out at the gate;  at that time I thought it was Wednesday!   Then Marcia came up the road with her golf clubs;  that's when I discovered it was Tuesday!  Oh...I started my day by sleeping in!    Anyway I'm up and ready for action now.  After another cuppa I'll go for a walk;  might go to the seat at the 17th green.    I must go to Elie to hand in my prescription sometime, and make an appointment to have my haircut!    Actually I might do that first, and do the walk when I come back from Elie.

17.15   I went up to Elie as planned; handed in my prescription, and met and chatted to Lesley;  but Lorraine wasn't working today, so I didn't get the hair appointment.    I'll have a run up there tomorrow to see if she is working;  she might be on holiday.   By this rime I was feeling adventurous, so went down to the harbour.   The Toft was quiet with no traffic problems.   

The yachts are on the pier for the winter, so not much action.   Tom was working on 'Breadwinner' and  a few visitors were enjoying the scenery:  it was, what I would call, pleasantly quiet.

I got a few photographs to 'play' with tonight, and, like the visitors, enjoyed the scenery!    By this time the street was beginning to get busy so I  made my way back to Th Royal Burgh, and had lunch;  followed by a hour long cat-nap.

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Dreich ....

1st November 2019 (Friday)       07.00 .... Mmmmm ... it’s cauld and wet Mmmmm .... not the perfect weather for the beach. as per weather forecast;   a real dreich morning.      I am feeling considerably brighter than the weather and looking forward to morning coffee in ‘arbour ‘ouse..... then spending the rest of the day mostly working on the computer, and doing Soduko’s.    I might bake Melting Moments..... baking and sampling 'MM's is always a cheering occupation on a dreich day. 09.00    The sky to the West is showing promising changes in greyness;   could we be in for a few bright spells?    “Light rain showers and a gentle breeze” is the forecast for today.... but a bright spell would be very welcome.    I haven’t been anywhere further than the pavement when manoeuvring the bucket into its ‘ready for emptying’ position.   I’ll have another cuppa then ‘loup’ into the car an...

Bright and breezy ....

12th June 2026 (Friday)     09.30 ..... It's a lovely morning... and a good drying day!     Michael and Janice will be getting ready to go to Uckfield Station.   Me? .... I had the best night's unbroken sleep in years last night:  I put the light out at 22.45 and woke up at 06.45!     And I had a long hot shower so I'm feeling rested, and  'playful'  this morning.    That said I have the car to 'worry' about;  however the garage will take care of that, and I should get it back in plenty of time to go for Janice and Michael.  Unfortunately I couldn't do the shopping I wanted to do!    That will have to be done tomorrow.     10.00    Apart from putting the downie inside it's cover, Michael and Janice have a bed to fall into tonight!   I'm going to celebrate that by having morning coffee! 11.30     The car is back at the gate.    I...
