Nice morning ....

11th October 2026 (Sunday)      10.00 ....  We have sunny intervals with only a light SW breeze so a peaceful kind of morning in KY9;  and, with hardly any wind chill it's not as cold as it was yesterday.  I'm hoping for a crystal clear blue sky, but although there's a lot of blue it's not quite the blue I'm looking for!   

Regarding World politics;  I've come to the conclusion  that everybody is out of step ... oops, I mean 'lockstep'... bar oor Donald!

17.15    'JB' and I wet ti Ainster as planned, and went down to the harbour to see what was going on down there.   It was really disappointing,  it was nose to rail with cars parked all along Shore Street.... in fact everywhere.   Tables, on the pavement outside the Waterfront, were all occupied.   The East Neuk is just like Cornwall ;  a beautiful place, overcrowded with cars and their occupants.   A busy place right enough, but not a where you could relax.    Maybe it's just an age thing!    You know;  'the good old days's when things were quieter,' and there were fewer cars.

22.15    We've had  bust day and I am well tired tonight:   tomorrow is going to be a rest day for both of us.   'JB' will go out and take a few photographs and I will 'play with them .   It's going to be a restful day.   

We watched last night;s episode of 'The Traitors' this evening;  this means we're now ready for next Thursday.

I'm away to take the dishes out of the machine.  Actually  I'm really tired tonight;  hopefully I'll have an unbroken night's sleep.

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Dreich ....

1st November 2019 (Friday)       07.00 .... Mmmmm ... it’s cauld and wet Mmmmm .... not the perfect weather for the beach. as per weather forecast;   a real dreich morning.      I am feeling considerably brighter than the weather and looking forward to morning coffee in ‘arbour ‘ouse..... then spending the rest of the day mostly working on the computer, and doing Soduko’s.    I might bake Melting Moments..... baking and sampling 'MM's is always a cheering occupation on a dreich day. 09.00    The sky to the West is showing promising changes in greyness;   could we be in for a few bright spells?    “Light rain showers and a gentle breeze” is the forecast for today.... but a bright spell would be very welcome.    I haven’t been anywhere further than the pavement when manoeuvring the bucket into its ‘ready for emptying’ position.   I’ll have another cuppa then ‘loup’ into the car an...

Bright and breezy ....

12th June 2026 (Friday)     09.30 ..... It's a lovely morning... and a good drying day!     Michael and Janice will be getting ready to go to Uckfield Station.   Me? .... I had the best night's unbroken sleep in years last night:  I put the light out at 22.45 and woke up at 06.45!     And I had a long hot shower so I'm feeling rested, and  'playful'  this morning.    That said I have the car to 'worry' about;  however the garage will take care of that, and I should get it back in plenty of time to go for Janice and Michael.  Unfortunately I couldn't do the shopping I wanted to do!    That will have to be done tomorrow.     10.00    Apart from putting the downie inside it's cover, Michael and Janice have a bed to fall into tonight!   I'm going to celebrate that by having morning coffee! 11.30     The car is back at the gate.    I...
