Nice morrrrrrrrning ....

16th September 2025 (Tuesday)      09.45 .... It's a lovely, sunny, and peaceful Autumn morning.

A morning for doing things.... so I did a small washing.   When I emptied the machine I wondered where some of the 'washing' had gone.   I'd forgotten to put it in the machine... so it was a 'smaller than planned' washing.

The sun is bright, and I'm in a productive mood, so I'm going to attack another bit o' the bathroom .... after a mug o' coffee.   After the sun has warmed the air up, I might try for a daunder down to Nana's seat.  But...before I do any of that I must charge The Buggy battery (after the coffee).

12.30   Having had a run up to Chapel green on 'The Buggy', I have now got her 'on charge,  ready for the next  mission.   I didn't stay out long because shower clouds are starting to appear from the West;  showers aren't mentioned in the forecast, but I didn't chance The Buggy being caught out.   It can stand some wetness but it's best to keep her dry.

The workmen are digging Ferry Road up, at the Sub Station:  the finishing date is the 18th so they must be on the last lap.  'Slight Flap On' .... I need a cuppa.

18.30    The wind has moderated and we have a lovely evening;  actually sunny and warm, evening.   I thought about going out on 'The Buggy' again but changed my mind when I remembered 'd put the kettle 'on'.    Anyway 'The Buggy' has a fully charged battery so the next time out I might go up towards Elie.   That depends on how busy the roads are of course.

22.00   'Air Force One' with President Trump and entourage aboard landed at Stansted Airport (London) half an hour ago.   He is here for a State Visit (his second) over the next two days.   The president and The First Lady will be staying at the US Embassy tonight, then moving to Windsor Castle tomorrow for the Royal Ceremonial part, with King Charles and Queen Camilla.   All the 'pomp and circumstance' is taking place with the Castle and grounds, for security reasons.

This will be a different State Visit; with no cheering crowds on The Mall and around Buckingham
Palace.   I'm sure it will all be on the TV tomorrow.    I watch the World Championships from Tokyo:  I hope it doesn't clash with that.   I will watch the State Visit:  I can always get the World Championship results later.   I'm not a fan of President Trump;  but I do like the 'pomp and circumstance' of such an occasion.
