I'm going to Methil at annoy Alice.... and probably do a wee bit of shopping. Iain is coming down on Wednesday; and the car is going for it's MOT on Thursday. Hopefully that will be 'done and dusted' by Friday.
20.00 My to Methil to visit Alice.... and the shopping trip, was a astounding success. Alice had been baking Carrot cake and Banana loaf (that reminds me I have a bit of Banana loaf that I'll have, after this update. And I bought a couple of goodies.
On the way to Alice's I'd notices the wild flower roundabout, and decided that we'd stop there on the way back to HQ after the shopping session. Hence the roundabout photies. The real thing looks much bonnier rather than a photograph; but you get the idea.
The roundabout, and the new houses (1980's) are where the old fishing and weaving village of Innerleven (Dubbieside) used to be. The development of Methil Docks began the decline of Innerleven as a fishing village; and the old village was finally demolished to make way for the new housing development.
22.00 When I arrived back at Ivy, I brought in the messages , put them away them made a cuppa. And as always happens I fell asleep. I must have been really tired because I slept for nearly an hour and a half.
The first thing I noticed .... no ...the second thing I noticed (the mug o' cold tea was the first) was that it had been raining and still was. My washing, that would have been absolutely dry when I got home, was ... well no longer dry. The forecast is good for tomorrow; in fact it's good for the next few days so the washing has been left on the line.
I see on the 'News' that the UK (along with over 150 other countries now) have finally recognised theState of Palestine. It's a step in the right direction, but .... sadly it's unlikely to achieve very much 'on the ground'; there's too much hatred in that corner of this beautiful planet. It will take brave politicians to bring lasting Peace to the Middle East.
